Put Snugtop VX on today. Like the cap, but lowered the rear enough I think Deaver +3s are in my near future. Also the dumbass installers refused to wire loom the 12v lines on the frame rail after I confirmed they would at the beginning. Just loose wire zip tied. Jesus H. Christ.
Interesting. I hadn't read those complaints on condensation before -- I assume big fan was running?
The Summit looks to have way more insulation than the Socal units. Hopefully it won't heat up like that and cause condensation.
I think the Expedition Overland guys did a bunch of trips...
I originally had plans for an LC200 build and a SoCalTeardrops.com offroad version but the Raptor tows my other junk (24' enclosed aluminum + racecar) so much better.
Since the Raptor won't fit anywhere, anyway ;) I went with a slightly bigger teardrop -- Summit from Coloradoteardrops.com...
Cool bed tent!
I've got a Snugtop XV camper shell coming this week and an offroad teardrop coming in August. Most of the "overland" stuff goes into the trailer instead of truck for us. Will probably add the SVC collars/bumpstops/deavers to balance it out later.
In my case, we've got dogs and...
I assume you got this worked out? I felt some similar hesitation today but after flipping AC off it went away. It feels a lot like the AC is engage/disengaging at WOT and causing truck to stutter. No issue in higher gears low RPM @ WOT either so, I don't think it's an actual misfire. I also...
Hey Livnitup,
I did a bunch of the previous DRL changes and have a quick question for you...
Current results:
Remote start: Parking Lights
Truck running in Park: No lights
Drive or Reverse: Auto mode knob -- Parking lights
Anything known yet that would keep parking lights on in Park? (the...
Here's a ~4500lbs trailer w/ 450lbs tonque weight (Sherline scale).
No WD hitch usable on my Trailex aluminum trailer (racecar inside). Raptor ended up pretty level (.25" higher ground to wheel arch in front).
~2" drop in rear. Zero issues towing. 100x better than my old Suburban 2500.
Mine does the same thing but only with AC on. Flip AC off, goes away immediately and doesn't come back. Annoying but truck drives fine. I bet bumping base idle 50rpm would counter the drag from the AC compressor.
Yeah, it's funny how hard an invoice deal was to find, even with those margins. (I had a VIP allocation, really just luck -- old roommate knows a guy kind of thing)
And I had to contact probably 10 different dealers in NorCal before I found one that was willing to order it @ invoice. Not even...
Is the preferred towing combo here the same as the SVC chase package?
Do the Deaver +3s raise the rear up? Is that something the C.A.S system in the front would need to balance?
I don't really want to lift anything (wife/kid is going to have hard enough time already) but I'd really like to be...
Ah, I actually moved from VA->CA since then. (so, definitely different shops). The 2nd local quote I got was 6500 + more after they do measurements for doors.
Looks like I need to find an inside hookup somewhere in NorCal if I want to do much.
For $8500, I think I'd be hard pressed to lose...
I got a full coverage quote for XPEL Ultimate.... wait for it: $8500. Yikes.
Probably just do the opticoat stuff and some partial coverage.
Last time I did full coverage (911 racecar) it was ~2800. Guess there's a lot more material on the Raptor :)
