Shackles are a must have. Plan on two shackles: one for your end, the other for the victim.
OK, I will ask how all this newfound knowlege came about- lets have the details..Pics will be even better!
Cant even begin to tell you about the whoops....they went on forever..........................................................................................
I went to LaGrange with my ATV club. Not a lot there & wasnt worth driving from Sacramento. 126 Acres gets used up real fast.
Prior to moving to NV I lived in Sac for 26 years, 12 years of which were spent on an ATV so I have a pretty good idea of whats there & most of it is tight forest...
I had read somewhere that Federal purchasing requirements had to do with the "no leather" thing. As a tax payer- I dont care if you guys have leather, your job is tough enough. It's congress that needs to have things prohibited.
Shipping is nuts. Mine came right thru my town on the train, went down to Cali then loaded on a truck, back up the hill to my dealer. Yes, the wait really sucks.
The dealer sounds like they are slightly out of touch (62K ???), so I wouldnt hold much hope in their being reasonable with the price when ordering, but who knows.
I would search various dealer's inventory & start sending E mails. Nothing better than a road trip home in your new Raptor!
Great info and it explains why I (and probably most '10 owners) didnt see much of an increase (if any at all). unless you tell them or bring it up, they dont know it's anything other than a F-150.
Looks like the '11 guys have no choice- it's right there in the VIN.

If I lived in RI, I would buy the Limited.
Or, you could buy the Raptor, find out that it's not all that useful in RI and let some one out west here have a good deal on a used Raptor.
The biggest problem is that in the 1970's Detroit did not produce the best vehicles. And that legacy keeps hanging on. This isnt to say the Japanese cars were perfect. I had a 1977 Toyota rust - and I lived in CA!!. Nowadays, I would put any American car up against anyone else- including the...
My guess is that Ford only worried about the aerodynamics up to 70 +/-, after that it probably has some dirty air problems that cause drag. And that 70 to 72 thing is a fluke- not in your measurements, but something changes aerodynamically for that air speed & then goes back to crap at 73...
The track is 7" wider.
As long as she is "aware" then she will do fine. Mine gets out of her Cherokee & into the Raptor without any problem.
But..she drove an F350 CC dually for about 6 years, so she knows about w-i-d-e vehicle
