    I have a '10 (no nav, MFT) and it will randomly switch from the USB to the radio. No rhyme or reason. Shut it off, come back, turn the key on and find it switched to the radio.     Wish like hell I had your problem. Here in NV if the mfg doesnt supply a bracket /mount you dont have to run a front plate. Of course my dealer was johnny on the spot and installed mine....

    Make sure you bring your recovery straps & if anyone has one a comealong. One slip off the packed snow into a roadside ditch can make for a lousy day. Dont ask how I know this, but having a Jeep with a winch along made things a lot better.

    Sparks is totally out as a meeting place over labor day- think of times square at new years. Fernley has a couple of truck stops right off the freeway with lots of room, fuel & food before it's hit the dirt time. PM me your route thoughts & I will narrow things down.
