Got em!
Put the new KC's on and they are great.
Easy to mount and aim. Excellent insreuctions to go right in the existing aux switches. The High power was the right choice (340's) as 2600 lumens per light really throws down the trail.
Thanks for advice.
Thanks all.
They do look great. Especially since I am working hard to keep a "stock" appearance with all the goodies (hidden Winch behind stock bumper included).
The 2600 lumens is huge on the 340's. I am thinking that's my light set!
Just getting caught up on these KC as well as the Rigids.
I see KC 340 and KC 341 listed at some of the KC distributors.
The 340 are A LOT more expensive. They appear to be brighter. Anybody know the details around the difference or have experience?
When I first noticed it did not bother me either but then I put the truck on a lift to install the Flow Master and saw the extent of the condition.
these pics might help show the severity of what looks to be salt damage.
Still seeking support from Ford as the dealer said the amount of corrosion is normal. ON A TRUCK WITH 2000 MILES? REALLY? :disgust:
As I see some of you have had similar issues I am looking for advise as how to get it resolved. I need a boost here as my dream truck is rotting out from...
No luck yet.
The dealer just gave me the 1 800 Ford customer service number.
The service rep at the dealer even said she had to undercoat her truck but it was not this bad.

did ford do anything about it?
Received mine on Sat and installed on Sunday.
What a difference! I used an 89 oct program for a mix of around town and some freeway trips of 40 miles or so and I see a huge difference in throttle response and about a 2MPG highway improvement. Transmission is starting to figure out what I want...
I am in centeral Cal. with alot of cars and bikes moving through my life that never showed signs like this.
I just sold a GMC I have had for 12 years in the same area with nothing like this. It seems like the parts missed an aspect of metal treatment or coating prior to instalation.
Has anyone seen unusual amounts of corrosion on their transmission pans and various bits of armor and brackets under their trucks ?
My truck only has 1600miles and it has not been off road in sand or near the beach. The amount of corrosion seems highly unusual and I was told by the dealer that...
" Had mike send me a revised transmission tune" from Beemerman back on page 2 of the thread is what made me enquire.
Beemerman?
Share your knowledge bro.

I just spoke to 5 star.
All the tuners come...
Amen on getting your truck!
But speaking from inside Raptor experience as a supplier (past carreer) the wait is worth it.
The Dearborn plant where the Raptor comes from peels select F150 chassis off the line and takes them to a dedicated SVT assembly area where they are painstakingly...
Mine ships today and I asked for Mike to install an 87 an 89 and a 92 tune based on my local fuel stops. The 92 for shredding, 89 for commutes, and the 87 to meet my cross country mileage expectations on loooong trips.
Should I stop him and ask for a transmission pack as well?
Unanimous!
Thanks a lot. The guess work is snuffed out. 5 Star it is then.

I just made my order and Mike at 5 Star said it should ship tomorrow.
I am stoked!
Great Price too!
Thanks again.
All I have done so far is install the Airaid intake tube and filter but I am considering a programmer to fine tune and get the most out of the factory drive-train.
Can anyone recommend a brand of handheld tuner/programmer and who has seen the most gain from using one?
