I'd like to try the "Surf City Garage Professional Polymer Detail Spray" ( Surf City Garage - Surf City Garage Professional Polymer Detail Spray - SCG Professional ), because I'd like to use something for those times when the paint surface of my vehicles don't require a full detailing job...
I saw the Carhartt covers listed on one of the Fords parts vendors websites before & now I'm considering ordering a set of 'em.
BTW - Anyone running the Carhartts care to share an interior pic or two of them "installed" in their Raptor please?
TIA !
Ouch. Yeah, that won't buff out but at least the truck will have some character now. :)
Guess the owner's manual should have been more explicit and included one of those yellow colored "caution wide turn" signs for semi-trucks...
^ Those Livin Lite VRVs sure seem nice (perhaps a bit on the expensive side? still a nice toy hauler, just my .02).
OP - I'd also look at the "Forest River Puma Unleased" brand/model; 21 ft, $18,500ish and 5200 lbs weight (dry). Or consider different variants/floor plans of that toy hauler...
Why not install the catback yourself?
It's very straightforward and not very difficult at all, especially with all of the write-ups and documentation floating around on the message board/youtube, etc (unless there's a medical issue preventing you from doing the work ?).
Wouldn't pay a shop...
It sounds like you're making chess out of checkers to me OP (no offense) since the regular 820 oil filter and the Ford Racing version of the 820 filter has worked fine for plenty of 4.6L 4V Cobra motor enthusiasts over the years...
...that being said, you could always plumb up a remote mount...
Ditto the Magnaflow suggestion or any other system that retains the factory resonator upstream (as mentioned) - that definitely helps keep things in check IMHO.
YMMV - all depends on what YOUR ears can handle though, listen to a few other trucks in person first if you can.
FWIW when I was looking into a catback system a few months ago, Bassani released a "lightning" style exhaust system but there was a manufacturer's delay with it.
This was back around x-mas (per vendor Maryland Speed) so you might want to contact Bassani directly or the above vendor to see if...
As if peeps in here with trucks on order/built aren't already aware (duh), here's a new article about the railroad delays affecting vehicle deliveries to the dealers/customers:
U.S. rail network delays derail auto deliveries | The Detroit News
I'm glad I went with this Magnaflow catback - it was just what I was looking for. :)
Install was fairly easy, the pipes look good and the sound is just right IMHO. It's slightly louder than stock overall with a good bark to it when you stomp on the loud pedal. Not much of a drone/resonance...
