There is no magic mileage number IMHO. But you can get a better feel for the health of your engine before going to forced induction by doing a few things like reading your sparkplugs, making a dyno run, compression test, leakdown test, etc. YMMV

Nobody likes to find extra parts floating around inside an engine/trans/pumpkin, etc. Glad to see that the dealership took care of the problem and that Ford is offering to throw in an extended warranty as well. Win win.
