    Heat it up, burn your hand recheck the level you’ll know for sure . Normal operation temperature is best if it’s high just take some out . It usually smells a couple days after a change and I recheck after the first drive .

    I’ve found tapping into other wires are about of 50% failure with something else . That’s why I suggest separate circuit from battery.

    I’d go off the battery with a dedicated fuse as many amps as you want. I’d also do an auxiliary by the lights with a switch and another outlet.

    I had a problem with mine after not cleaning or lubing for a couple years it just would spin also . Now it works perfectly. Not sure if that helps. I’m sure you could get something rigged .

    Not sure when you did your plugs and coils but after doing mine I’d check all that first . I could see a wire coming off in a couple lower locations and 1/3 of my coils plastic was shot and the guts corrosion level was surprisingly extensive. Check your ground strap mine was almost gone .
