Passenger side marker tail light almost gone.

The install is rediculously easy, light body just sits in the outer rubber housing, simply get a pry tool to pry the led out of the rubber housing, remoe rubber housing from bed side, un clip connection, put new one in.

    Geisers vs stock

Maybe I just got a bad one, after some offroading, one of my shocks began to leak pretty badly. Hopeful you dont have the same issue. But that a solid one on the shocks. The truck will feel completely different with them. If you havent installed em yet, throw some 3m clear vinyl on the...

    Geisers vs stock

If you do aftermarket springs, I would suggest getting your shocks rebuilt and having a seal upgrade as well. I had mine on the lower perch with geisers, and it blew the hell outta my seals in the shocks. It sucks getting new springs only to have to take em back off and clean them after the...

Best place to order OEM rear shocks?

Maybe a little late, but the '17 shocks fit perfectly fine, all you need to do to make it look factory is get a blow dryer, and heat up the stickers on one to mount to the other side of the shock, and it'll look great. do it with really clean hands tho. and, they are a little bit longer and a...

Advice: Gen 1 4WD Actuator and Axle Change

definitely doesnt need to be offroading for the cv to take a dump. the boots are extremely fragile on the oem and even aftermarket axles. In my memory, im pretty sure rpg offers replacement boot kits which elimoinates this issue

    GEN 1 2012 Raptor won't do a brakestand?

Sounds like your traction control is on, turn it off and let her rip. Again , hold the traction traction control off until it flashes on your gauge cluster. Be warned, this truck hates brake stands. The rear end loads up and pops giving the feeling of the driveshaft U joints priming to fire...

Advice: Gen 1 4WD Actuator and Axle Change

Definitely replace the actuators. Were you in 4wd when this happened? That CV looks pretty chewed up for occasional 4wd use is why I ask. You can get in behind the CV and tap the inner CV cup out with hammer and flat screwdriver. Usually, the CV just pulls apart when you try to yank it out...

2021 Shocks claimed to have double the damping support as the Gen 2

Most likely an increase in damping performance out of the shocks. Sounds as if they have also tuned the characteristics in the live valve assembly for more agressive offroad. Dont forget, the biggest difference is the rear end. Those coils will be far more linear than the leafs of previous...

    Warranty with icon leafs

Gents, personally, it sounds like you guys also have the slip yoke clunk. I just replaced my slip yoke with the current part number and in wet conditions, it clunks horribly. I have Icons on my rig as well. I think the more linear curve of the leaf set up allows the suspension to progress...

Gen-1 Front Control arm bushing questions

put your truck up on a jack securely under the control arm, and get the tire iron or a pry bar outta your kit, put it between the spindle and lower arm and lift up, if theres play in the balljoint, time to get em out.

Gen-1 Front Control arm bushing questions

yeah, they neglect to realize they are the same bushings the stock vehicles use but have more travel, so they wear out faster from the higher range of cycles. Personally im surprised no one has made a heim upgrade for em but what do I know. Ball joints will cause that worn out feeling as well...

Gen-1 Front Control arm bushing questions

Did you mid perch the truck or put aftermarket springs on the front end? You have to pull the control arms off to get them in, sorry must have been lost in my Canadiana, you just dont have to pull the entire front end apart, the lower balljoint will clear between the cv and the spindle with a...

Gen-1 Front Control arm bushing questions

what youre looking for are the MOOG K200366 bushings. Yes you can replace them, and yes, they are a total bitch. You have to cut out the old center and slowly slice into the outer body of the bushing without damaging the control arm. It is doable, but it takes time. To press back in, i...

    4x4 popping grinding..

Heres a simple check for your truck. In neutral, 2wd, in a flat open parking lot, keep your truck idling in neutral. hop out go to a front corner and spin a wheel. if the cv axle is spinning forwards in 2wd, the iwe is bad. if its spinning backwards, its still good. if they are both...

    Is this undercoating

If it wasnt rust sprayed eveery year, avoid it. If its a supercab, avoid unless you undercut the price huge. The rockers will be fried

Lol!! Curse of the crew cab! I have a super cab so that gives me at least 2 less hours in the seat! And yes, def suggestive to switch sooner than that, say, every 4 hours!

Pre - during - post recommendations for a long drive (1400miles)...

A big tip I learned from my big road trip days, is, hopefully the wife is driving as well, and if this is the case, change every major gas fill up, even if you're not tired, it makes getting back in the seat to drive a thousand times better. Check your tire pressures as well before you go...

Gen 1 (2012) making odd "clatter/rattle over rough pavement (video)

x2 on the IWE, mine did the exact same noise. It was a failing actuator, was it cold outside? I found that made it worse

    Driveshaft boot

My truck has been doing a weird Hum sound, as if it was a bad wheel bearing, nothing like the vids with the grinding noises. As soon as I pulled the plug on the solenoid, noise was gone. This was my 5th iwe in the last two years, I am done with the whole system. Once winter is done RCV's are...

    Driveshaft boot

Thats totally normal, If youre getting a whine, its most likely your IWE's. They are such a pos system. There is a solenoid control valve on the firewall where the IWE system gets its pressure control from, unclip the electrical harness and see if it goes away.

    Retorque lca shock bolt

You dont have to, It is not a rubber bushing like the control arms, It is an inner sleeve with a poly style support that can spin. Torque the sucker down. You can shim it out to make a tighter tolerance to minimize clunking too!

    I need a joint....

Guys, Stay the **** outta motorcraft. For some reason, mine lasted a year. I am into the MOOG ungreasables and seeing how they go. Considering they are half the price of OEM, im not too worried about how long they last. I also went MOOG upper control arms and am pretty happy with them. Easy...

    Steering Vibration

Man, thats a tough one! I am really wondering about the alignment on the hub. Yes, I have methods on my rig, and thats why I went with the adapters. It also sounds like you are going into and out of actuation in your front drive line. Have you replaced your check valve? They are a common...

    Steering Vibration

Sorry, Wrong choice of word, centering caps from chiefmachining.com are what you should look at. I had the exact same issue chasing the vibration, and as soon as I got these, they immediately resolved my issue. The wheel studs are a centering design, but you really need the hub for a true fit...
