Lol, a lot of backbiting here...
I think I joined 12/11, and don't have too many posts. I like to read and learn from others experience and share my own relevant experiences when I can.
Moving on, my last truck was a 2005 6.0 F250. It was rated at 375hp, 525 torque (I think). I'll happily take a...
I have a 112K miles on my 2010, 100K of those miles with the sway bar off. I love it. I did go mid perch at the time the sway bar was removed. It does lean a bit in the corners, but it still rails corners very well. The last 25k miles have been on 37's, and it's still amazing.
My 2 cents...
Who cares? I mob mine. Born in Baja? Yes! Mall crawler, no.
If I ever sell, whoever gets mine gets an extremely well maintained AND used truck.
That is what it was built for.
I have the black spare wheel from my 2010 Raptor for sale. It has a 35" Toyo MT on it. The Toyo only has 2k miles on it, but it was plugged after only 1k was put on it. It was driven on for another 1k miles just this summer, it's a solid spare.

One other consideration here; this is not a manufacturer class. If an independent racer hopes to get sponsorship or contingency benefits, having a shock option helps. There is a choice of tires, wheels, shocks, lighting, and very little else in this class for the racer to modify in the hopes of...
I was replying to all, not you in particular. Again, the 3.0 rule levels the field for all. Let's say someone wanted to race a Dodge (I know, why?), if they cannot run a 3.0, they would struggle. Shocks, like brake pads and tires are wear items and not a big deal.
Rule limitations such as no...
Wow, so much much butt hurt here.
The class is open to any manufacturer, and any person meeting the class rules.
Having been around off road racing since 1985, this is the most stock class I've seen since class 11 cars. The rule for shocks levels the playing field, as does the 35" tire limit...
Pics from a 2017 at the Mint 400.
I like the additional tie downs in the bed, the in bed lighting, and the depth does appear to be shallower.
New rear bumpstop
Off road racing is about beating the elements. Over the years there have been many classes with a few entries, and sometimes only one.
Desert racing foremost, is an endurance test of man and machine.
Lol, ballsracer...
Looking good! That tire on a 0 offset method should clear with enough trimming. I took my truck out to the desert over Thanksgiving and had no clearance issues at all.
I did trim the sheet metal back at the rear lower edge, closest to the tire.
Looking up from the ground...
Mid perch, stock front shocks. It's working great, no problems whatsoever. It's been out in the desert a few times and the 37's really ride better than the 35's off road. The front has been stuffed, and no tire clearance problems.
