I have MPT tune. Drove it for a week. Good tune, but tried the gearhead and stuck with it. I wanted drivability and duration. Gearhead moves the truck easy , mileage is good, and transmission is perfect. Nothing wrong with MPT, I just like the gearhead tune.
I have a Pete with a 425 cat. Guess I better wish for an eco boost for it. I could pick up a 100hp, and really walk the gears. Probably could get a jake for it
I have deaver plus 4 ordered, with geiser fronts. Should maintain factory stance, but be 2 inches taller. The geisers should be the same as a gen 1 in mid perch. Supposedly that is were gen 1 was designed to run. And ye I have replacement standard length shackles ordered.
You cannot get the road dust washed off from behind the plastic. Makes a mess.My raptor is a work truck. Damned fine work truck. Am I supposed to treat it like a princess so shes in good shape for the next guy?
Gearhead is slower than other tunes. Step up from stock. And perfect transmission response. They now have a separate tune if pulling heavy for a duration, but still have the auto adjust on the gas. By my way of thinking longevity should not be a problem
Maasdam 3/4 Ton Rope Puller good hand winch
probably need a snatch block
If you are getting a rope you need hard and soft shackles
Look at a 110 volt compressor rated under dash rating
valve cores and caps
dewalt makes a good cordless compressor, with 12 volt backup
but you need a good battery...
For a practical rope get into a rope supplier and get a hank of double braid nylon with 2 end loops and sheathing. Not fancy but works excellent at a fraction of the price. A 30 foot 1 inch rope for less than a 100 US

The Raptor has 2 loops at the back. I use 2 ( 1/2 inch} amsteel bridles about 10 feet long, and a 20 foot rope. Soft shackle attachment. Works good as you can get 10 20 30 or 40 feet on an easy pull. 30 feet on a hard pull. I am using a 7/8 bubba rope 20 feet long. As well I carry a 30 foot 1...
