    Ruby red on the ground

Even if supply chain issues continue, demand is going to go down as auto loan rates increase (it's already happening). As that happens and gas prices increase, I would be shocked if this current situation takes years to resolve. The economy is headed for a serious recession and I don't see...

    Ruby red on the ground

It won't continue for much longer.......... by the end of this year, things are going to look quite different, and more so by 2023.

    A positive dealership story/update

An update on the build/price increase: Yes, I had a stock order and not a retail order, which is why my price went up despite having a VIN, which I think by now, everyone here understands. The dealership's mistake was not explaining that there is a difference between a stock order and...

    Another Shady Dealer

I just went through this: it's really simple......... your order was a stock order, and as such, isn't price protected. It's not the dealer's doing-- it's Ford's insane price increase not even 2 months into the year. The only thing the dealer should have done (as mine should have), was...

I just found out I got the shaft: My order went up in price retroactive to my build

thanks bud. I tried the [email protected] address, as it was given to me from Ford customer service. The email does not exist/isn't real. I'll try the others you provided

I just found out I got the shaft: My order went up in price retroactive to my build

Update: Yes, I was issued a VIN. However, at no point during the process when I placed my order on January 8th was it explained to me that this is a stock order and not a retail order, or even that there was a distinction between the two, and what the implications of that were. For those...

Tell me I'm completely insane for even considering this........

Patience for the build is one thing. Having the rug pulled out from underneath me with my price going up by $3300 is another thing altogether. I'm beyond pissed.

I just found out I got the shaft: My order went up in price retroactive to my build

follow up to my thread from last night: my sales guy just told me that my order has now gone up in price and there is "nothing they can do". In other words, my base price that I thought was locked in at $65,375 is now $68,675. I think this will be the case for anyone with a '22 order...

    Regarding 2022 orders.......

yeah, my 801A package option reflects the price decrease thanks to the loss of Blue Cruise. I read the thread where many were pissed off about that, but I don't share that view: I'm happy saving the $1395, with the caveat that I would love a Blue Cruise option one day that I knew was reliable...

    Regarding 2022 orders.......

So, if I understand this correctly, the base price went up by $3300 : from $65,375, to $68,675 w/o Ford warning dealers? If it wasn't for this forum, I would have had no idea. The price had gone up by about $600 or so from what I remember from 2021 to 2022, and then, inexplicably, Ford...

Tell me I'm completely insane for even considering this........

I think you will be fine, but given that I'm getting my 2022 Gen 3 at sticker --$71,500 or so, and with the 801A package-- there is no way I would pay $69k for this 2018 with 46k miles. He asked what it would take for me to buy it.......I'll likely make them a low ball offer which they will...

Tell me I'm completely insane for even considering this........

I just got back from the dealership and drove a Durango RT. Seats are the same as in the SRT I think. Black with suede, correct....Not sure what the red leather upgrade seats are like but these were just perfectly ok IMO. The interior overall was fairly 'meh'..... nothing close to what a...

Tell me I'm completely insane for even considering this........

Did you miss the exhaust note of the 392 after you got your Raptor? And yeah, from the reviews I've read and videos I've watched, the Durango SRT is no joke. It tows great and is a ton of fun to drive and hauls stuff. But where I think I will regret not having a truck or more off road...

Tell me I'm completely insane for even considering this........

You're the right person to ask this question to: Why has Dodge's reliability gone up quite a bit (per JD Power) over the last few years while Jeep's remains so low? No one I"ve asked has been able to provide an answer to this mystery, but this in part is another reason I considered the Durango...

    My gen3 vs trx comparison

The new Sequoia TRD pro with the Tundra engine looks amazing. My only concern is that this is Toyota's first year with the new turbo 6, and I'm hearing of some issues on the new Tundras. Once they work these out, I think it will be hard to beat the Sequoia as a family SUV that can be taken...

lol-- you and me both. Getting out my bullet proof uber reliable 4runner TRD Pro to get into a Raptor, hoping/praying for comparable reliability.

    My gen3 vs trx comparison

I'm going to be the voice of dissent here regarding your analogy/comp. I've owned 2 Porsches (997.2 GTS, 987 Cayman S), 2 BMW's (one being a M car) and an Audi S5. None of those cars you're referring to are engineered trucks that can be beaten up off road and can also literally jump curbs...

Tell me I'm completely insane for even considering this........

Raptor hits the sweet spot for me size wise. I don't want wider, taller, and worse gas mileage with worse handling. What wowed me about my buddy's Gen 2 raptor was the way it handled. It felt like Ford racing team paired my old Shelby GT350 with a F150. I was offered a 37" package by...

Yes. They dc'd the hellcat. Attached is a copy of the build I did........... I think it looks a little better than a mini van, at least from the front.

Tell me I'm completely insane for even considering this........

Apples and oranges. Raptors pre pandemic had a 3 year depreciation of 15-20%, c/w the average F-150 of 30-40%. The jeep GC are even worse. It's entirely vehicle dependent.

Tell me I'm completely insane for even considering this........

Thanks everyone. Probably should retire this thread. I'll check out the Durango interior, but I don't think the 392 will make up for the other reasons I want the Raptor. Verdict is that I'm nuts for even remotely considering this option.......

Tell me I'm completely insane for even considering this........

Nah.......as I said above, I'm 90% sure I'm keeping my order and will ride this out. I love the upgraded tech/bigger screen on the Gen 3 plus the updated suspension. I'm hoping it will make longer drives that much better.

Tell me I'm completely insane for even considering this........

Trailhawk is great.........updated model coming out soon. But can't get it with the 6.4L engine. I've driven the 5.7 and V6 versions: both were 'meh'. And I wouldn't pay sticker for a trailhawk: those things were being discounted $10-13k off sticker pre pandemic.
