Though I have had the BMS disabled via ForScan since August of 2019 with zero issues, I recently decided to do the same thing. I'm really not big on turning features of the truck off, especially when they relate to the monitoring of the electrical system, and in this case the battery.
I ordered...
From FordTechOne's Car and Driver link above:
At 128.7 horsepower per liter, the F-150's high-output V-6 engine is more power dense than a Porsche 911 Carrera's twin-turbo flat-six. Naturally then, the Ford hauls ass as effortlessly as it hauls a half-ton of manure. When fed 93 octane, this...
The Ford Raptor is designed as a Performance Vehicle. If you can't afford to put the right fuel in it, then you may have bitten off more than you can chew.
BMS began showing up in 2011 as a system to monitor the condition of the battery. The BMS detects when the battery is failing or getting weak. And that's still it's job today.
The BMS establishes a base line for the battery when the vehicle is off (BMS needs 8hrs of vehicle undisturbed off time...

I disagree with the item #2 where you state the alternator will never be in a free spin mode.
As an electronics technician, I can assure you that the alternator's job is to ALWAYS charge the battery and supply all of the electrical power needs of the vehicle.
To make sure I wasn't passing on...
The Ford Manual also says this about connecting Accessories ...
Electrical Accessory Installation
To make sure the battery management system works correctly, do not connect an electrical device ground connection directly to the battery negative post. This can cause inaccurate measurements of...
I stand corrected. I have no issues disabling the BMS and have had ZERO issues with the charging system.
Here's what the Ford Manual says about the BMS:
Battery Management System (If Equipped)
The battery management system monitors battery conditions and takes actions to extend battery life...
There are other Ford vehicles on a dealers lot and the dealers have more incentive to move those than they do the "performance" level vehicles, such as the Raptor. With production shut down, they have more inventory of the "other" vehicles that they are much more interested in working a deal on...
** Testing DRLs: Make sure all of the following are set: **
1. Daytime Lights box checked in cluster under settings, adv settings, vehicle, lighting
2. Headlamp switch in the Auto position
3. Truck must be in gear for DRLs to work
WTF?! The dealer's "sale" price is 90,454 and the sticker on that truck is 75,255. That's 15,199 OVER sticker!? I've been to Alaska many times and never found drugs like that!
I have a 2019, 802a and love it. So far, the only difference between a 2019 and 2020 is that there are two additional color options for 2020. Mechanically the trucks are identical. If you find a good deal on a 2019 I would jump on it vs spending more for a 2020 just because it's new. I haven't...
You have the FACTORY sprayed bed liner. Looks just like mine, and mine arrived to the dealer from the factory with the bed liner already sprayed. You'll more than likely find a sticker on the rear window stating it is a Ford Accessory Bed liner.
You really don't need the projection on the windshield. I thought I wanted that feature too when I first got my truck. I have a late model 2019 and the visual warning on the instrument panel and the audible warning are more than enough. On top of that, if the truck really thinks you're about to...
Yep, That's what they look like on a 2019 too, peaking out of the wire harness waiting to be set free! Ford then tucked the ends of the pass-through wires even deeper and taped them to another wire harness.
Ford Performance. Established in 2015, the company’s performance teams -- Ford Special Vehicle Team (United States), Team RS (Europe), Ford Performance (Australia) and Ford Racing (United States) – have unified under the mission to create the world’s leading performance vehicles, parts...
I have a 2019 and it took me 30 minutes to find the pass through wire bundle on the inside of the truck. They're where ShadowRaptor is showing them inside the truck, but you won't find them hanging loose like he has shown in his picture. I'm sure he took the pic after he found them and freed...
