Its superficial rust on untreated surfaces. Looks bad, means nothing. I live in the rust belt and from experience I can tell you it means nothing. If you don't like the looks of it, paint it or coat it with wool wax or fluid film. Our 2013 still has the original exhaust and it sees many short...
Thanks for all the awesome pics. I don't comment very often, but that doesn't mean I'm not enjoying your posts. Beautiful pics, I'm very envious. Wish I could be out there with you:)
Here in the U.P. of Michigan we get snow on a regular basis. I'm always entertained when parts of the country get hit with snow that don't normally see it. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that the raptor is awesome in these conditions. My only concern is that it may make me over...
My truck does a similar thing since new. 2020 here as well. I believe it's the live valve shocks initializing or something like that. Far as I know, it's normal.
I guess I was just anticipating something different because of how different all the other packages were, including sasquatch, which I really like. Expected something more unique or creative. In the end it doesn't matter what they call it, it's frickin' cool.
I prefer the gen 1 style for the function of keeping **** off the side of your truck. The holes in the gen2 allow stuff to spray up and onto the truck. Just my $0.02
Don't really have a suggestion for a name and after reading the explanation for calling it bronco raptor it makes sense i guess. My knee jerk reaction was that they were taking away from the f150 raptor. ;)
Looks awesome. Disappointed with them using the raptor name on it. I kinda liked the warthog name. Doesn't compliment the bronco, it takes away from the raptor. Add this to the list of things you can't get from ford, or pay big adm's if you're lucky enough to find one. No thanks. I'd buy a 2...
If you have an aftermarket warranty you might be on your own. If the original complaint was started under the factory warranty, Ford is usually pretty good about taking care of their customers. I've had a couple of issues that Ford covered just outside of warranty, but it was simple stuff, not...
I went through a similar situation before buying my first gen1 raptor. If I would have bought something else I would have regretted it every time I saw a raptor. On my third one now. For only $5k more, it's a no brainer. Buy the raptor and don't look back.
I recently had problems similar to yours and it ended up that the passenger's side iwe leaked vacuum and allowed dirt inside the lines and caused the check valve to fail. Repeatedly. Dealership replaced all the vacuum lines from the solenoid to the iwe's, as well as both iwe's. So far I've had...
This pretty much sums up my thoughts on the gen3 until I see it and drive one. A lot of imitators and wannabes out there now,so they naturally don't stand out like they once did. I'm sure the gen3 is an overall better truck. Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder:favorites13:
Both of our trucks stay outside. Biggest reason is salted roads in the winter. Parking a salty vehicle in a warm garage, even moderately warm, accelerates the rust. I do what I can to protect them from the elements by washing them often and keeping them waxed,so sitting outside doesn't really...
So the dealership worked on my truck today. They replaced all the vacuum lines to the iwe's and both iwe's. They told me the right side iwe was full of dirt and that's where all the dirt came from. I guess time will tell.
Sucks you hit a cow. Glad no one was hurt. Sure could have been worse. Truck can be fixed or replaced. In my neck of the woods it's usually deer hits, but occasionally it's moose, and that can be life threatening cuz they can come right through the windshield.
