Hmm, 2 votes against turndown. Yeah the cabin shake would be bad. My 2yo daughter rides in the back. But then again, she'd probably giggle her ass off. She already wants me to "go fast, Daddy" the second she gets in the car. She may be a car nut like her old man :rocking:
Anyone heard the SW...
Good. 2 votes for mbrp. Any way either of you could post a start up, idle, and throttle vid? Preferably not in a closed garage, or when it's raining, or with the recording device directly under the pipe like every other video I can find. Thanks for the input fellas!
Reason I'm hesitant is that I had a buddy with the old k5 jimmy with a turndown and the thing was LOUD in the car. Leaning toward sw but it's hard to get a good idea of the sound from sw's YouTube clips. No one around here with either setup that I know of
Much as i love this idea, i can't buy both. Didn't mean to make it sound like money is no object, just wondering how the 2 compare to each other in terms of sound/drone. I'm focusing on sound because i don't think there would be much difference in hp gain. Also planning on 5 star tune
I'm at a standstill trying to decide between mbrp turndown vs sw lightning exhausts. Not planning on headers with either setup. Main goal is better tone/growl and to move the stock exit location which i hate. I don't want to simply cut the pipes before the axle, I'm going with a cat-back...
Nah went with the 550. Renntech lowering module, renntech rims, brabus front lip with fogs, amg rear deck spoiler. Loved that car but with our second kid on the way needed something better for two car seats.
Let me take the time to give a big shout out to Jarrett at RPG. I know he must be busy getting his truck ready for TRR (and I can't wait to see that thing) but he took the time to answer his phone multiple times on Masters Sunday to help me out.
With that level of customer service, he has...
Dang am I sore from all the wrenching! 250 ft/lb is one hell of a crank!
First off, this project seems daunting to a person that does not regularly work on cars - BUT if you are thinking about doing it yourself, it is completely doable. Just take your time and pay attention to detail!
My truck...
If you went with hd springs the height might be ok, but i did my stage 3 yesterday with the sd springs and it definitely does not sit that high. Did you discard the stock axle pads?
Went with reflective black on the passenger door. Here's some pics, looks really cool with light on it, very subtle during the day
With flash
Nice decal, but would suggest that you guys just ship em flat, not folded. There were some creases that needed flattening.
