So flew down at 7AM yesterday...right into Canyonlands Field. Ford dealer was waiting to pick me up in my nicely detailed truck at Noon at the airport. Swung into town to drop them off, sign some papers and grab a Milt's Burger. Hit the road and drove like hell. One stop for gas/food. Made...
Am I supposed to watch the 3rd one?
continuuing the weirdness... :supergay:
I've been alone with you inside my mind
And in my dreams I've kissed your lips a thousand times
I sometimes see you pass outside my door
Hello, is it me you're looking for?
I can see it in your eyes
I...
OK...so here we go. Round 2. 5th week without my truck. Keep your fingers crossed. The 2nd replacement BCM is supposed to be arriving today at the dealer. Let's see if it works this time... ??
...they can speak for themselves about their setups...but most guys I know only bring the winch and cradle along when they have a likelihood of needing it. Others carry it with them, secured in the bed or rear seat.
The advantages of temporary mobile mounts are carrying less weight except...
9500ix is what I use also.
The Escort direct wire is not a pigtail wire (curly)...that's why I would never use the cigarette lighter cord...even if the wiring was not an issue.
The linked cord above is the one with blue lights (there is also a red one). This has the "SmartCord" that...
Here's a pic of an Autohome on my FJ. Have seen guys do them on pickup trucks with the Thule pickup truck rack system...with the whole bed still available for gear.
This is the Autohome Maggiolina Airlander in a Medium XL (extra long). Very comfortable and I'm 6'4". Slept with two sons in...
Well I can totally believe it is not a factory product!
The stubby performance does not compare with the long factory whip antenna. It is pure physics. I worked in wireless propagation, link calculation, spotty reception issues, etc. for years. Craven gets away with selling them with a...
Thxs Randy. Have already briefly discussed the warranty with them. I'm not anticipating any battle...as yesterday received word that local and Nat'l Ford techs together concluded that the replacement BCM part was also defective...so another 1 1/2 or 2 weeks likely wait for another part to...
Ok here is mine...

Oh wait a minute...that's my fucking rental car...'cause I don't have a Raptor anymore!! New BCM was fucked...wouldn't take programming either!! Another 2 weeks or so likely. :insane:
Update - So BCM part arrived at dealer on Friday. Guess it got installed Friday or Today...but not working. Locked them out into theft mode. Apparently Ford then instructed them to put the old part back in...read in/download some code from the old part (some sort of info specific to my truck...
Yeah, my (and your) truck was not specifically a part of the recall. Seems as though mine was just an anomaly...maybe something related to the earlier problems or maybe just a rare exception.
So glad you've had no reoccurence. Hopdfully it stays that way. You didn't have anything done, did...
I think everyone involved is pretty certain the BCM is the culprit. Thanks for keeping your eyes open for everything though. It would totally suck if once they finally get the BCM replaced if it still didn't fix it. Not gonna think about that. Anyway, no update from my Nat'l Service Accts...
I got the McGard lock. Same company that makes lugbolt wheel locks. If someone wants to defeat it, just like a hose clamp...they could. But it definitely makes it a little harder for when I forget to lock it.
I also bought the solenoid door locker thingy that was listed in the other...
ah yeah...not the fix for this.
So shuttle and rental car and about 24hrs and 500 miles and now I'm back home with my family. Ford is going to pay to get me back to the truck once it is fixed. They're thinking maybe this Friday...but have not heard yet whether they even have any BCM's...
I think my build date was Jan 12 or something... I'd have to double check, but I do not believe my truck was included in the recall. My guess is that soon an updated recall might include it??? who knows? thxs
Got a nifty little booklet that the Jeep rental place put together. It has a list of approved trails that you are allowed to take the 4-door Jeep Sport Unlimited on (not a Rubicon as I had said elsewhere). I'll check when I return it...I think it is all stock except for maybe new tires and...
Good luck! Hope you have better luck than me. Harley said the BCM issues are affecting all F150s as well as 250s 350s etc. Something about some of them overheating. Apparently a couple of the BCMs even caught on fire. I wondered if leaving snowy WY for southern Utah had anything to do with...
