I was told, mechanically, the knocks can be caused by bad injectors, plugs or sensors. And then, the tune. Don't know how true it is. But with the SC kit, injector and plug are going to be replaced. Sensor tested OK... so hope it will be a smooth install:baby: If it's not, then that's life...

Back on stock tune now, no knock. I also paid a local shop did a diagnose, I posted the memo earlier, too much timing, no mechanical issue. I will have the shop do the SC install, maybe they can double check on the engine while installing SC?

Gave up already... ordered a whipple kit! As to SVC, not sure what happened, used to be REALLY quick on reply, but not anymore in my case.

For the whipple tune, do they deliver through email as well? A local shop suggesting to dyno tune start on the whipple tune.

Always email and they response really well, but not anymore since I sent the data logs. Waited 2 weeks to get a reply saying logs look "OK", I doubt they even looked at it... The shop I paid to diagnose, said no way they cannot see that much knocks in the log. Sent the shop memo again last week...

I did. Tried -2 and -4, didn't make much of difference in my case.

Have you to talked to SVC? Wondering what they say... For me, not much... the two data logs I sent, it knocks like crazy, but still was told their tuner cannot read anything abnormal. I noticed mine started doing that back in August/September.

Did two data logs sent to SVC, was told nothing wrong. Finally had a local tuner ran a test with their tools, confirmed the engine knocks. He basically said there are too much timing... Sent this memo to SVC last week, haven't heard back anything... Any ideas?

I will drive a bit more see how it runs at -2. Hope won't cause any damages...

Did this, plus an oil change, switched to royal purple from mobil 1. Set global spark to -2 (still run 91 octane). It still knocks BUT much less and lighter!! Before I did this, it knocks the same no matter what number the global spark is. Is it safe to drive like this? Maybe I should try -4...

Stock tune doesn't knock.. at least I cannot hear anything. However I don't remember it was knocking neither when I first loaded the tune. Maybe I didn't notice? cannot recall. At this point I just don't know where to start trouble shooting...

91 only, Mostly Shell... tried Chevron too, still knocks.
