Some say you can remove the flash and they'll cover it, but it's tough to say. Depends on the issue really. I want the COBB tune as well but I'll be waiting until there are enough use cases to know how Ford will typically react to warranty claims with tuned trucks.

I take delivery on Monday and one of the first things I intend on doing is painting my skid plate black. Anything tricky about removing and reinstalling the factory skid plate, or just straight forward bolts?

No desire to do anything to mine other than wheels and tint. I bought the premium warranty package and Ford service plan and intend to keep things in house and factory for as long as those are in place. My outgoing GMC Sierra's 6.2L V8 shit the bed out of warranty and it cost me a fortune...

40 degree tip is fine even on a 3200psi pressure washer just be smart and keep a safe distance from the body

Thanks, although I still wonder if/how you can know whether or not FS roads are gated or not? I think I'll just need to take a day off to go exploring. I want to find some clearings with good views that would be suitable spots to camp with the kids.

Right, I mentioned elsewhere already but I've always just waxed regularly and seen good results. I'd be curious to try a ceramic coating but some of the costs I've seen mentioned are north of $1K. I think that's a non-starter for me

I was wondering the same thing. I wax regularly with polish every few years and it's always been sufficient.

Is ceramic coating something you can easily do yourself? Like a post wash treatment? Or is this best done by a detail shop? I'm not that familiar with the process
