Its a vibration damper, that was put there to add in vibration when towing, the rubber goes bad and it rattles like a ******, take it off throw it away, every one I know got rid of them.
Just for the fun of it look up the price to replace it, then you will deff throw it away.
The heating element will probably fail faster than the zip ties, I'm already on my second one, at this point im just wondering when this one is gonna fail.
The top 2-4 rows of the radiator is used as power steering cooler, all us gen 1 owners that did the mod just added a cooler into the loop, as well as new reservoir, just to add more surface area out front for cooling with the hope of aiding to power steering pump life.
Also check the vacuum lines at the top rear of the shock pockets were they lead down to the hubs left and right side, the little plastic lines tend to crack there causing vacuum lose and the grinding starts.
Ford calls them cartridge fuses, the others are known as low profile the spades on the fuses should be short and also make contact on sides as well. very shocked you cant find them at autozone and such,

I did the update to v11.0x from v3.0 truck wasn't udated for close to 7 years, 11.0 is the last of the updates for syc from what they state. Install done last year.

My buddy on driver side me on pass side, 2:15 pm start, 3:18 finish on plugs, could not have gone smoother. did all the other stuff before plugs, so silicon would dry before putting gear oil back in, just a heads up front diff cover comes out with the little room you have from the steering...

Got a chance to use my buddies lathe to make some nitrogen fill gauges to service my shocks, as well as finding a billet mini nitrogen gauge to complete the set up.
$300 is way to much, at most it should only be an hr in labor plus the part , part is 12.00-20.00 depending where you purchase it, not a hard job at all.
