Why does this have to be an either/or? Why not both a short cab Raptor and a full-size 2door Bronco?
Both of those will be low volume vehicles and it probably only makes financial sense to add an all-new frame size if it can be used on multiple platforms.
Of course, the reality is neither of...
For the OP's question, invoice is 7% under the base price of the truck and options are 8%. If I remember correctly Ford holdback is 3%.
As for the R&T article, as pointed out, it clearly states it is "rumor" and not based on inside information.
And beyond that, I don't view R&T as any more...
Hey look, it's the guy who always has something to say, but never anything useful to add.
I knew there was a reason I blocked your comments a long time ago.
I'm only repeating what someone else wrote here, but they said a cross member is in the way and the engine needs to be pulled to replace the oil pan. If that's true, it is a fairly pricy repair to pay for out of pocket.
All plastic pans fail and metal pans have never had a problem? Sounds like someone is generalizing.
27k miles with 100s off road and not a drip. Guess I must be doing something wrong.
The drippy oil pan in 2017 was an assembly problem from the factory where the liquid gasket didn't fully seal. This problem affected less than 1/4 of all Raptors and was most likely due to an out of calibration machine or a poorly trained employee. Either way, the other 3/4 of 2017 Raptors had...
28 lb of rack plus two 30 lb bikes = 90 lbs of shit my back doesn't want to lift. Still easier to remove a single bike to access the tailgate. 1up system makes it super easy and fast to mount and unmount bikes.
It is possible to lower the 1up with bikes on it. But it is heavy and pain in the ass. Far easier to remove the closest bike and the tailgate will open all the way.
You must be one of those guys that gets upset if the paint on your skid plate gets scuffed. For me, that's what they are there for.
Raptor can do Hell's Revenge easily. A little scuffing on the hitch or exhaust pipes is a badge of honor.
Only idiots compare Ford's to BMWs. If a person wants a BMW, they should buy a BMW.
That said, BMW's quality is shit. My wife's M3 has far more orange peel than my Raptor.....and oil changes cost $200.....and the engines grenade at an alarming rate.
But after putting the top down and...
Ford Slashes V-8 Production Due to Higher Demand for Smaller, Turbo F-150 Pickup Truck Engines
https://www.thedrive.com/news/27796/ford-slashes-v-8-production-due-to-higher-demand-for-smaller-turbo-f-150-pickup-truck-engines
There is a saying in racing, "Anyone can drive a fast car, very few people can drive a car fast."
If you are only interested flexing your right ankle, then American metal is the way to go.
For people who want to master the art of driving, there are far better tools for the job.
Personally, I...
Line-X is more durable, but for anything other than a work truck, the factory liner is plenty durable.
The Ford liner is sprayed in by a robotic arm, so it is lighter, neater, and more uniform.
The biggest risk to Line-X is it is only as good as the person installing it.
It requires reservations for camping, but the White Rim Trail is a world famous 100-mile trail that is easy for the Raptor. You can also do the early part of the trail that starts at Canyonlands NP and take the fork that returns you to the river if you don't want to camp.
Gemini Bridges is also...

"Porsche continues its North American race track record tour with a stop in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin and a small track called Road America. Anyone familiar with this course understands that, by small, we actually mean just over four miles in length. Despite the size, the...
I haven't seen 2018 numbers published anywhere, but the 2017 run was about 23k over 9 months and the 2018 run was 15 months. If they were produced at the same rate for both years, then we are looking at something in the high 30k range for 2018.
As for the OP's question about leadfoot scabs...
