Fire took a turn and went back up hill. We should be good now. Doesn't look good for houses on the hill as the fire has gone over the top into the rural area. There is a hospital 15 miles north of me that is on evac alert, the fire is raging on the north flank. Houses are being lost up there...
Thanx everyone. it all seemed better today very little wind fire mostly gone up the mountain. Choppers working on hot spots near the base of the mountain. They packed it in about 6pm. Winds really picked up southbound about 7pm and the hotspots have flared and are now blazing thier way down...
Crazy last day and a half. Wildfire started at 4pm monday 4 miles north of my house. About midnight it had grown to 700 hectares, winds shifted and it started headed south towards Osoyoos. Its across the lake from me but still worrisome. Tuesday am, we can't see anything to the east through...
When I did this mod I could not locate new direct fit pins for this connector either. I found a pin part number but no source could supply them. I ended up getting some from a auto wrecker to get mine working. Not the best option, but the only way to get it to work. Has been working...
I mounted my Viair 450c behind the front bumper and made a cover for it when not in use. the manifold with air fitting, psi switch, psi gauge and line out to the tank is also behind the grille. The tank is on the frame in front of the RR tire.
Mine makes a a knocking sound on cold start, just for a second or two. I have my remote start set to defrost or cool automatically. Which means the ac compressor kicks in just after start up. Listened to the compressor with a stethoscope and my ac compressor sounds noisy. Haven't done...
Speculation is a cigarette started it since it began just at the side of the highway. I live in town but I still have a pump to use my pool water for fighting a fire, just in case. If I lived in that kind of area I would have fire breaks and 2 good pumps, one for the pool and one for a tank...
Yesterday, my employers house was nearly burned down from a wildfire here in Osoyoos. The video on Global of the fire retardant being dropped very near a house was his. We were using shovels and a helicopter showed up also to help slow the fire as it raced up the hill. That drop of fire...
Went out for a fathers day drive up into the Ashnola / Cathedral lakes area. First time going into this area, very beautiful spots for camping along the river. Too many people/vehicles to have any real fun though.
I do believe you are correct about the drainage. That doesn't worry me much. Thing I don't like is I find sand and crap stuck in the gap. Which will probably be worse when the box liner fills it in slightly.
I got these off Amazon. $30 for a set of three. You have to cut off your original connector and solder it on the new light. Otherwise they fit a Gen 1 perfectly.
An update on my Maintenance and Modification list.
My Raptor has 172000KM on it (about 105000 miles) and I'm getting all the maintenance up to date. The previous owner took great care of it so I'm finding everything in great shape. Some of this was already posted in "What did you do to your...
Planning on spraying the bed with a bedliner. Was wondering what others have done in regards to the bed seams. The box is in great shape , no rust , but the seams have small gaps and before I spray the liner I was thinking of cleaning and then sealing the seams before spraying the liner. I'm...
Nice pics. I love road trips, especially when they are on backroads.
Not in my Raptor , but this is on, or near hwy 395 in Oregon on my way to one of the Early Bronco events I like to attend.
As soon as the border opens the Raptor will get to do these road trips also.
Got to work on the maintenance and modification list on my Raptor today. Spent most of the day installing and tying rebar for my driveway until my back was to sore to tie anymore.
Spent the late afternoon doing the trans service, oil change and T case fluid change. Welded in a drain bung and a...
