^ I agree the Raptor is a fun bad ass off road machine.... just sucks when things start rattling around but I am guessing when I beat it up in the desert a lot of those sounds get worse from all the off roading.
I still love my Raptor just wish it was as good as it was when new.
My GTR sounds like it is going to fall apart when I start it up and back out of my garage lol.... the bell housing unit is so bad.... oh well.... I also wrapped my GTR so far it is on it's 3rd different color. White was cool when I first got it but the paint chips got ridiculous from the track...
Yea I am planning on greasing the shit out of my leafs this weekend and then messing with the roof rails like you mentioned.... Hoping to get rid of some of this noise.... Embarrassing when you pull up to Starbucks and your truck is making all sorts of squeaks!!
As far as the engine goes I...
Bruh it's ok you dont need to protect Ford lol. We are allowed to dislike certain aspects of every vehicle.... Shit I dont like my GTR all the time either..... Don't take it so personal
Did you buy this? I had a 2014 Ram 1500 fully loaded and got rid of it for this Raptor..... I really think the Ram is way better overall. I never had any issues with my Ram and had it for 4 years 80K miles.
Sucks because I like the fun I have with the Raptor when I take it offroading but...
I hear you.... Starting to dislike this truck more and more.... Squeaks like none other especially the leaf springs, sounds like a 50 year old rust bucket pulling up.... Engine is now making a clicking noise from passenger side, especially during cold start up..... and of course the sun roof...
^ I hear you, most likely it is something left loose from install. I really did not like the 1.5" level kit, felt it was barely noticeable so I used that excuse to pull the trigger on the Geiser Springs.
When my perch were making noise I had the shop re check all bolts and double check all...
Mine did the same thing.... It made a sharp creek noise every time I made a stop or over a bump. It was only happening on the drivers side as well.
The shop couldn't figure it out and I couldn't stand it. So I had them removed and I ended up putting Geiser Springs on.
^ haha peer pressure!
Hey really tho if you find yourself wanting to raise it down the road go ahead and do it. Like I said before it's your $ and your truck who cares what others think.
LOL I wasnt referring to you I was referring to the original poster wanting a Fabtech lift. But really I don't care what anyone else does at it is their hard earned money and they should enjoy it however them deem fit :)
I do enjoy my season Pumpkin Spice Latte too haha
Thanks! It's a really good set up for novice drivers who just want to go have fun and not break the bank or their truck!
I love my setup for functinoality purposes. Just did a 200 mile loop this past weekend in the upper desert here in So Cal averaging 50-60mph on dirt trails and truck...
I doubt that the 19s are different geometrically from the 17s and 18s I am sure it is more Fab Tech waiting to get their hands on one in person to confirm that their current set up works before selling it to the public.
I still think you are going down the wrong path with this set up but to...
^ Good info and insight, I am only upgrading to new Fox Shocks if I become rich lol. At this point I am going to enjoy my Geiser and Deaver combo for what it is. Like you said you just have to realize the limit of your specific vehicle and stick within that range. No 3' whoops for me neither lol
You'll need to raise your front end minimally 2.5" to fit 37s
If you do that then you should be fine with some minimal inner fender lining trimming on the front fenders.
I hear you, def would like to know as well as far as ride quality and off road ability.... is it that much better?
Before dropping another $6K it would be nice to know lol
Yea you should take it somewhere else.
A shop can install collars fast and should only charge $250-300 to install..... But you still need to buy the collars which can cost another $250 on up depending on what you buy.
^ Deaver installed my set themselves.... Hopefully they know what bushing grease is..... haha
Actually I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't lol.... nice guys but they fucked up the install of my leafs by putting the new RPG bump stop plate on backwards (OEM position) I had to pay another shop...
