Yes my Grandfather has his and he loves it. Here's what he says. "Last solid axle, last manual, and last convertible (his is a convertible). Fastest top speed of any stock Shelby. I am a dinosaur and it is a dinosaur but some dinosaurs are fast.....very fast.)
Am I the one angry? I don't mean to offend anyone. Just an modest tip, you might want to quote people when you reply to threads because I can't tell who you are talking too. Hope that doesn't offend anyone.
I apologize, I did not mean to offend you. FordTechOne replied as this:
"The 5.8 shares it’s architecture with the 4.6/5.4, but the 5.0/5.2 does not. Just because an engine shares certain dimensions to allow compatibility with the existing assembly line and tooling does not mean it’s the “same”...
Yah, the Raptor is also based on the F150 just a lot more radical. The Focus RS was also based on the daily driver Focus. Just because they are based on something doesn't mean that they are degraded to their lowest counterparts. Look up what the 5.8L shares with the 4.6L. You won't find much.
Hello everyone:
I was getting nostalgic and remembered the supercharged 5.8L "Trinity" motor that was exclusive to the 2013-14 GT500. It produced 662 HP and 631 LB.FT.TQ. and was rated to get 24 MPG on the highway. Much better than the Predators 18 MPG. Wouldn't it be awesome if Ford would've...
Well to start off, this how I like to put my stock exhaust on my Raptor. It shouldn't try to be a V8 (like the 3rd-gen), it embraces the unique V6 sound.
Anyway, with that out of the way. I really love Corsa exhaust systems and love the way they sound on the Raptor. If I were to choose an...
Yikes. A $100 deductible? Why wouldn't you go with a Ford ESP? Also why not a Ford Dealer That are specialized in our trucks.
Sorry. Back to your point of your thread. I have never encountered any problems with my front axle or rear shocks. Good luck!
I love Ford Protect plans. I have never gotten a vehicle without it. My Raptor has PremiumCare, Maintenence plan, and TripleCare. Whenever I go to a dealer, even when it doesn't need one, I get an oil change on Ford with no questions asked. Love it. Have nothing bad to say!
For me those were IF they were to go bad Ford would cover them. I wouldn't as much worry about those more worry about if it is an off road beater. Be careful.
I think that it depends on what truck you get. My gen 2 has had zero problems. If you get a truck that has been beat to death and not maintained that will be a problem truck. Be very careful. $55k seams a lot for a 90k and make sure it isn't a beater off roader. Check other posts to tell if it...
Oh by far, the gen 2 will blow away the gen 1. More power, less weight, all combine for a quicker package. Look at any car reviewers numbers and it will show you that.
I never owned a gen 1 but I have gotten as high as 16.2 in the city (slowly rolling from a start and never went over 45) and 19.4 on the highway (never went over 75 and was drafting semis and on flat ground)
I knew once I got the email notification this wouldn't be a happy ending. I would feel horrible if that happened to me and teaches us never flat tow an Raptor. Sorry.
Mine never really brakes hard and just remember the Raptors are very heavy trucks. I mean if you feel that you should take it in take it in, just in my experience engine braking isn't a bragging point and it won't engine brake like a diesel.
Wow. Interesting decision. Can't say that I agree with you on the looks of the Gen 3 (it looks fine just not as good as the Gen 2's). If you are very attached to your Gen 2 like I am I understand. You got a good dealer. Who is it?
Alright, first off, don't mess with the software. Secondly, this is how mine acts:
-Holds gears longer
-When under large acceleration and I let off the gas pedal it will hold on to that gear until I slowly apply the gas (basically reassure it that I am not continuing to step on it)
-Sportier...
