I had an online chat chat with customer service on the Ford "Build your own" page and they said that they may roll out the Raptor on the page the first or second week of October. Like everything with Ford lately, I'll be surprised to see if it shows up in that time frame.
They're built like tanks. I bought mine new in 2014 and have had mine for over 2 years. It's solid. The only rattle I have is my passenger seat rattles a bit when I don't have a passenger but that's normal as far as I know.
I don't see how the Gen 1's are considered 'gas guzzling' when the Gen 2's won't be much more fuel efficient than the Gen 1's. If you want a fuel efficient vehicle, you've joined the wrong forum.
2014RubyRed, Good use of the camel!
No doubt. Hell of a find. Does anyone know what the upcharge is for choosing Ruby Red? I can't seem to find it and the Car and Driver builder doesn't show a charge for Ruby Red. I spoke to a dealer a few weeks back and I seem to remember around a $400 charge for Ruby red. Thanks in advance for...
I just saw this video from Hixson Ford in Louisiana. It was posted just last weekend. It shows the non-orange accent seats.

Also, I find it odd that they're continuing with the Race Red for the tour if they're not offering it in 2017. I imagine...
The light gray accents on the seats in the 2nd photo look like cheap vinyl you'd see in a cargo van. Not that the leather in my Raptor is high quality(my girlfriend's BMW has great leather) but the accents in the photo look cheap. The orange accents look nice but I don't know how that would look...
I hear you. I was intitially looking to get a blue flame Raptor in 2014. I never thought I'd buy a red vehicle until I saw a race red on a lot next to silver, blue and black Raptors. After that, I was sold on the race red.
The above race red SCREW at the Houston Auto Show in January. It looked great. I have a race red SCAB and was hoping they'd continue making them in 2017. I'm a tad bit disappointed.
Im really interested in this as well. My 2014 SCAB barely fits into my garage so hopefully the 2017's will be the same height (I think 78.4 for the SCREW and 78.5 for the SCAB).
No idea but he had a Raptor in his Gymkhana where he was in Dubai. The Raptor was on 2 wheels while Block was drifting around it. I think he's a Raptor fan. He has a Raptor on Mattracks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aeKdmw9W50
I'd hope they get some sort of special treatment for paying...
I'd have to agree. He's a hell of a driver but it's definitely more of the same. After seeing the first one or two, I just kind of skim through the videos to look for something new.
It's interesting that they list 450/510 on the High-Output 3.5L Ecoboost V6 page with the engine but it says "TO COME" on the Powertrain Availability page.
Maybe they're still still updating the site...
