+3 for sure with the front up +2-2.5 it will give you the little rake that is needed when you put gear or something in the bed. I really like my rpg uca with heims.
kpg81 - 100% agree. Also when you are running hotter especially if you live when ambient temperature is hot to start, the engine is closer to the heat point which pre-ignition/detonation becomes more of a concern and the computer will start pulling timing back. I believe with these engines you...
Well this should be interesting, since I have same set up and aftermarketing intercooler. Especially since I have a little noise going on and seems like constant white smoke.
Go with the Cooper STT Pro, you probably are not looking for a m/t...but they are a beast and not super heavy. They look like they are lasting good. Love this tire.
Have to have fenders / bedsides to run 37” tires. May trim a little for your Starbucks runs, but any good Offroad compression and hello fender flare smashing along with some nice bent aluminum. My 5” backspacing helps, factory probably better, gets worse with less backspacing.
Nope have to take shock off, may need to adj arms to get it aligned if you cant with lowers. You 100% should get some +3 deavers for rear before shocks. You have Awesome set up. Congrats
Not really any further to speak of since you have to correct for lift. I have a digital caster/camber tool that really helped setting it up before alignment shop...which btw my at home and was perfect just toe in was off. Longacre Digital Caster Camber Gauge 78290 depends on your wheel setup...
I think I did about 5-6 turns out on the arms and maxed out the lca for caster. Us the upper arms to adjust camber. My shocks are still in the box too-have eibach coils and the svc cas. I was able to get about +5.5 caster helped steering and tire clearance.
I think you use brackets they sent you and a combo of the Baja designs brackets that you cut. I have the race series and that was what they suggested, I ended up using 2 of the factory bj brackets per side and drilled some more holes.
It happened to me in a parking lot. Do a google search. It was like 10 times ignition cycle and something. Boom just turned back on and been fine ever since.
Thanks guys, sorry for the delay...work. Yes that is what I was thinking, some forscan changes maybe. I'm going to see if I enabled secure idle and check it out. It's just concerning since I have a loud ass wastegate type of noise from the driver's side, I have noticed that the injector/pump...
Here is a new one for me: started truck, cold start rpm up, idles down, open door and it raises up to 1200ish, shut door idle lowers to 600ish. Did it 10+ times over maybe 10-15 minutes finally just drove away and now it doesn't do it....any ideas?
so...3" lift good? 4" bad? I agree that the idea of a block and the geo is all screwed but I don't know if I buy into the .5" - 1" is gonna make a heavy ass truck any more unstable. and the +3 deaver raised my rear about the same as a 4" block for height comparison.
I have the rpg uppers with heims and they are awesome. The problem with the slot delete is that it centers the lca adjustments...I’d prefer to push the lca forward to get more caster and tire clearance and then adjust camber with uppers. Worked awesome for me. Get the alignment cams and call...
I’m up almost 4 in front and +4 in rear and I’m smashing rear fenders and Rubbing a Little in the front in reverse. Really if “running” I don’t see an option except fenders/bedsides. I did get some innov8 with 5” backspacing vs 4.75 but we are only talking a 1/4”...so thinking have to run 35s...
I can’t stand the mall drivers today, it was built up aggression. Curbs...not much compared to the orange trees I got some custom pinstriping from. Walked straight into the bar didn’t ck fluids, but 100% electrical. For the 20k I put into this thing...it worries me. O build date 4/17 ish I think.
Bad day for the raptor...1st started about 45 minutes ago it missed 1st to 2nd gear idling out of parking space and then caught 2nd and away we
went. Then 5 minutes later had to go around slower mall shopper and went over curb and lane Assit alarm went off and power steering went out. Had to...
I +4 in rear and running Cooper sst pros and have full smash impact with flare and body - picture of contact. I think it would help to have over 5” backspacing.
I think the rear blocks are 2.5" if I remember right. I was mocking mine up for +4 springs so got a 4" block to set up front height and test it all out and noticed factory 2.5" block. With that and 37" tires puts fender lip at 44".
