Thank you to everyone for all the information

Race Red 2019 802a with the options I care about, a touch under 45,000 miles which is a little more than I was looking for but acceptable if the final price reflects it. Glamour shots look good, but I'm waiting for some more detailed photos including the underside. Not sure if the shocks have...

Thank you to everyone for all the information

Currently communicating with a dealer on a 2019 that's a potential buy for me. It has the cam phaser issue and they are replacing all the associated hardware at the moment. I'm not sure if it'll be a Ford Certified or not once they are done, but they said they'd get back with me later this...

    Oh the stupid!!

A woman who engages in certain commercial transactions of an adult nature. (Not sure on the forum's rules on "adult language" but I think you get the idea) Pendejo is literally a hair in a certain region of the body, and is also a commonly used insult.

Should I buy a Rust Belt Raptor?

Some people take care of their stuff, some don't. I crawl under the truck before considering one, and if they are too far away I ask for pictures of the undercarriage. Not just for rust, but also leaks, damage, signs of extreme use, presence of non-OEM parts, etc.

    Oh the stupid!!

If you speak a foreign language, it's sometimes fun to pretend you don't understand English when people ask stupid questions or make idiotic comments. Bonus if your spouse and/or kids speak it as well and will help you sell it.

"Very Clean" Used Raptor....(please don't look too closely)

Yup. Got your PM and saw the other threads you've mentioned it in and saw it in the classifieds. That's kind of the issue with a modified vehicle, though, you draw down the pool of potentially interested customers and you never get your money back out of them. Dollar for dollar, you'd...

    Would you buy the warranty?

I used to work for Kemper Insurance, which was (is) a major underwriter for a lot of the warranty companies out there. Based on my exposure to the industry I would offer the following advice: 1) Never buy a 3rd party warranty of any kind for any product. No exceptions. 2) Long term, you...

"Very Clean" Used Raptor....(please don't look too closely)

I've owned more red vehicles than anything, and Race Red is a nice one. I've never owned a blue vehicle, but Ford's Antimatter Blue looks really good and Performance Blue isn't far behind. I'm in no rush, so if the right deal comes along it comes along, if not no big deal. I just want to...

"Very Clean" Used Raptor....(please don't look too closely)

I'm looking at 2019+ for the active shocks. The 2018's back end felt a little loose in comparison. There's a super clean 2018 in Indiana listed in the classifieds here if someone was looking, though. Basically my criteria is set to: 2019-2020 <45k miles 802a Don't care about stickers Don't...

"Very Clean" Used Raptor....(please don't look too closely)

Sure. No reason to buy a thrashed one when there's plenty of clean ones on the market in the same price range though. It's not like it's a rarity to find. Agreed, if I wanted to be bothered with it. As is, my watch list has 7 nearly identical trucks with similar miles in a +/-2k price range...

"Very Clean" Used Raptor....(please don't look too closely)

And it's a Ford Certified used one, so you would think it had been up on a lift at some point. I get they aren't going to replace the skids and someone who doesn't know or care will buy it regardless but it was a lot of mud. No way you could overlook it. Am I wrong in thinking that putting a...

"Very Clean" Used Raptor....(please don't look too closely)

I went and looked at a "very clean" 2019 Raptor today that was a touch overpriced IMO but figured we'd see if it was worth it then start working our way from there. Plus it had the blue Recaro seats, which I hadn't tried yet, so two birds one stone. "Very Clean" Raptor looked pretty clean if...

    2023 Ford Raptor V6 and V8

Sure, I'm not considering a Tremor because it's cheaper. It's actually about $3k more than several low mileage 19's I've looked at, although that's a new to used comparison of course. It's got it's own pros and cons, just having a conversation by offering a suggestion on sexing it up a bit in...

    2023 Ford Raptor V6 and V8

Current and previous model years, yes. 2023 the 3.5 is optional and the 5.0 is standard on both trim levels. It's roughly a $700 difference in price, less if you look at invoice and more if you look at MSRP. Like the Raptor, there is no more base level, so the former mid 401a is now 'base'...

    2023 Ford Raptor V6 and V8

What if take the Tremor with the now base 5.0 motor and supercharge it? Yeah, Tremor lacks some of the sexy factor, but it'd be pretty damned quick. I don't think I'd go that route but I'm still on the fence between a new Tremor and a '19 or '20 Raptor. Just sent in a build to see OTD...

How intrusive is AEB on 2nd gens?

Carry spare undies or wear astronaut diapers in case of rain, check.

How intrusive is AEB on 2nd gens?

You're the second to mention you can override it by pressing the gas. That's reassuring. Back to 2019+, then. I'm leaning more toward the Raptor, but a new Tremor is still also an option and if I thought I could live without a truck, the Bronco Wildtrak seems like a fun option. Good problem...

    Maybe. That's why I'm asking.

How intrusive is AEB on 2nd gens?

Going through old posts I see that '19 is the first year for the AEB stopping the truck on it's own. I had narrowed my options to '19+ based on the active suspension and improved display, but honestly I'm not sure I want to futz with AEB. I can't think of a safe way to test it on a test drive...

    On post gas prices

Been awhile since it's been relevant to me, but as I recall you aren't paying the sales tax and maybe the excise tax? Don't recall for sure, but it was cheaper on base than off.

Newbie here... Are there ANY dealers selling at MSRP?

I believe if you order from Granger Ford they are at MSRP or less. But you may have a long wait, and I don't know if they are still accepting new orders. You may also try Laura Ford or Bill Estes Ford. They are both doing MSRP or less on Broncos, so they may do a Raptor as well. I haven't...

    Mistakenly neutered my Raptor

Who's going into debt to buy premium gas? And also buying a Raptor? If a given person is that stupid, they probably need to have a bankruptcy attorney on speed dial. No, that's a non sequitur at best. The only debt I carry is mortgage, and I carry that because it's a net loss to pay it off...
