I guess I shouldn't believe Ford when they market them as Forged?

I personally ordered the OEM Beadlocks because;
1) They are forged and usually forged wheels are substantially lighter than cast
2) They are hub centric and hub centric wheels run truer in my experience than that lug centric BS
I guess if you run anything less than an offroad only race...
Any chance you could weight a wheel? I'm trying to decide if I want to keep them on the order I have in or go with the base wheel and upgrade to something else. Thanks...joe
Are you sure? I have been scouring the nets to find that spec. I've called Ford SVT twice and they don't have the spec. I did find one PDF file that listed a shipping weight of 41 lbs.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to try to get that option off my build list tomorrow as I really want light...
Most OEM wheels are hub centric. With Hub centric there is a ring that is machined into the face of the hub on the vehicle and the OEM wheel is machined to precisely fit over that ring on the hub. The weight of the vehicle is carried by the ring and the bolts just hold the wheel to the hub...
I'm going to research Centerline forged wheels to see if I can find a reputable firm to machine them to take hub centric press fit rings. They are 24 lbs.
