I didnt want to change out the wheels but just the tires. I like the way the truck looks but just wanted a little bit more of an aggressive look with the larger tires. I certainly dont want issues arising such as poor ride quality or dramatically reduced performance as some have said will...
Anyone running 37" tires using stock rims on their 18's or 19's? I'm not worried about clearance since I have an aftermarket bumper and a 2" front lift.
There are lots of bolts that have to be loosened and/or removed, as well as various connections and sensors. When I did my leveling, my truck wobbled 3-4 times every time it came to a dead stop and I had no driving modes. I took it back to the mechanic and he found that they hadn't fully...
Thanks to Cobb here for always standing up and trying to be as informative as they can. Cobb is obviously a very good company and there are some great people there that genuinely care about the products they put out. Its refreshing to see a company not run and hide from some criticism and...
This is in fact one of the most thoughtful and insightful posts I have read on this tuning issue to date. There is definitely "food for thought" here. Is the stock tranny programming actually hindering the ability to realize the gains from the tune?! Thank you Badgertits for seeing this in a...
I agree with you, I will never really "use" the added power anyway. However, just knowing its there for that occasional 40-90 blast is nice. These trucks are certainly not sports cars, but I guess with all the hype we hear and tend to believe, these are "performance" trucks. The word...
I'm going to uninstall, and then reinstall the tune and see what happens. Now I'm really perplexed as to why I'm not seeing it the way you are. Thanks for the input on this.
I was told that with the Stage 1 tune a new intercooler would not be necessary, but with the additional power upgrade of the Stage 2 it would be necesaary.
UPDATE on DPC with Stage 1.
OK so I set the DPC on my Stage 1 Accessport to its maximum setting of 10. With the truck in "Normal" driving...
Thanks Sam. I'm just a "plug and play" type of guy where I dont get too involved with all of the detailed aspects of the tune. I just read, plus xxx HP and plus xxx Torque and I'm in. I leave all the intricate nuances to the smart guys like you and your staff. That being said, it is very...
Dont be scared, these are GREAT trucks. Just a little jittery over the bumps at speed, but like I said, lowered tire pressure helps mitigate lots of the jitter. Good luck and enjoy your new truck!
Yes, I did that, it just seem to take a while for the screen to come up. Like I said I was in a hurry and really didnt give it a fair chance. I will be giving it another try this afternoon.
Yes I have a PC on my 2009 Lambo also with a tune of the ECU as well as the Egear. I noticed a big jump in power with the tune as well as an even bigger "perceived" jump in power with the PC. I dont have pre Dyno info on the Lambo, but just with the tune alone and an exhaust, it dynoed at 516...
UPDATE: OK, so here is a quick update on my Cobb Stage 1. I tried accessing the DPC on the Accessport, but I cant seem to get back to that screen. I will admit I was short on time so when the Accessport took more than 3 minutes I clicked it off and decided to turn my PC back on that I never...
This is a GREAT thought and observation. Sport mode definitely wakes the truck up more and takes away that sluggish feeling. Normal mode with my PC at Sport +4 was also great! I had assumed that the Cobb Stage 1 tuning which boasts at least 50 more HP and 75 more torque would have actually...
