Hey guys, started monitoring my issues with a live readout in ForScan.
In 'Normal Mode' the truck supplies 1.58a to the live valve system, and lowering the amperage stiffens the shocks. In Sport Mode for example, the base dampening is set to around 1.26a if I recall.
In my case, I noticed a...
Interesting ... curious to try this on mine. I seem to have a rough ride sometimes, and sometimes it seems to smooth out on its own. It's odd - sometimes it's so harsh feeling, I almost get a bit carsick after a long drive.
Was under the truck doing my first oil change and inspection, and came across this. I have a bit of a whine in 4A I'm trying to figure out as well. Seems only present really somewhere between 40 - 60 KM/h for the most part oddly.
Anyhow ... is this normal? What do other front output shafts look...
Just got mine installed and had the chance to test them out on the road. For me, this is the "perfect" setup for my usage anyhow.
I went with the 4x4 Truck LEDS kit with the following:
S2 Pro, Wide Cornering
Squadron SAE, Wide Cornering Amber
Squadron Pro, Driving/Combo
Great combination...
I have the Recaro seats in my 2020 - no comparison honestly with the standard seats, but I do find the bolstering and the back design / firmness is a little too snug for lengthy road-tripping. Overall I do like them though, and adds some extra 'class' to the interior with the few accents and in...
What do you guys make of this ... brand new truck, under 2,000KM and this is about the 10th issue that's cropped up on this thing.
Sounds like a bearing gone bad, or a metal marble on a metal plate spinning around. Turn up the volume ... does anyone else truck sound like this in 4A? 4A in...
Buddy the definition of luxury is simply that the vehicle is designed to do more than serve a basic necessity or get you from point A to B reliably. I feel bad for you if you don’t think a $94,000 vehicle isn’t a luxury vehicle in this class.
The Audi S5 sport back I owned (5 seater, 4 door)...
Would you ever see a need to reset the ride height calibration from stock? It's hard to tell for me what's "normal" as I don't have another Raptor to compare, but I can really feel the difference in the seat with a full tank versus close to empty. I do have a bit of racing background; so I feel...
Depends on the cause, but I do think the plugs and gap play a part. These engines are super sensitive to fuel, and running slightly lean etc. Mine vibrates constantly at idle every 1-2 seconds you can feel it spike in your seat. When driving, you also feel this when you're coasting. Not good...
Has anyone noticed when you fill your tank full, the live valve shocks (2020 stock Raptor) become noticeably stiffer?
The ride on-road is much smoother and more compliant when I have a 1/4 tank or less. The ride is great; when I fill the tank it's noticeably more jarring on-road. Tires are down...
Hey as much as these guys are being rough, I have to be honest and say I came from a handful of Audi's myself. Back in 2006 I bought a Mustang GT which was an awesome car, and the most car for the $ I could afford on my budget at the time. Tons of fun, but ultimately a cheap toy. Granted...
Ordered from these guys, awesome little touches in the packaging with the thank you notes, decals, care in packaging, inclusion of the Baja lights mail-in rebate card etc. and a free Tumbler and an airheads candy ... awesome! Will definitely order again with anything else I need. Now to find a...
I noticed the whine / whistle on mine and the other day a much more noticeable whine in 4A. This forum is great - brand new truck and you should see the number of issues I’ve had. So far in the shop for 1 full week out of 3 owning it.
This piece of crap is going back to Ford and they will get...
Very true as well; it's under load where the two engines will see similar fuel economy with similar power output. I agree, if you're careful / have a light foot then the 3.5L turbo or non turbo is going to use less fuel.
The problem is most of these turbo engines aren't super efficient with...
I understand, and you're correct that they are used in completely different applications. However, my main point is still valid. Even considering the same or very similar application, there's a noticeable difference between ACTUAL mpg, and EPA rated or manufacturer claimed MPG. We all know...
For sure, the worst part about it ... is these turbo charged engines aren't any better on fuel economy at all. Compare this 3.5L Ecoboost engine in the Raptor, to the 400HP 5.7L Hemi on the RAM trucks. The RAM has noticeably better MPG for everyday usage, which would seem at quick glance to...
Interesting. Wonder how this would work with any off-roading? Seems you could set it to a low PSI and use it almost like a bump stop as well, or am I mistaken? Seems like a really cool idea
There's a bunch of information on this "Death Rattle" or "Death Shake". You'll have to check all front-end driveline components for excess play, and further to that if you're doing hard off-road as mentioned by pirate air ... this truck needs a couple degrees more caster, and you'll no doubt...
Installed the Husky wheel well liners. Driver side went on pretty easy and quick, but the passenger side needed a little trimming and a couple of the holes didn't align perfectly which was a bit annoying. Oh well, not really noticeable unless you know where to look but overall look great and...
Good to know ... I played with it a bit more, both seats do it. I was able to reduce it a little by using some dense foam on under the left driver's seat bolster, but the side bolsters on both seats squeak. I think you're right. These Recaro's I find over long drives to be very nice, so worth...
I guess I'm confused. So does the COBB device (access port) need to stay connected for the tune to stay active? I assumed you can use the COBB handheld device to then reprogram the ECU, then unplug the device and store it in the box or something. If it doesn't work this way, is there not a tune...
