I have Eibachs in the front and the +3 HDs and wish I had gotten the +4's instead. I usually have around 400 lbs in the bed and it sits just shy of level (nose up). When I tow or add more weight to the bed it sags more than I would like. The ride improvement over stock by replacing all 4...
Comes down to personal preference. I already know I'll be getting the 37 package when it's time to upgrade and I'll patiently drive my Gen 2 until the order arrives.
I agree about the pricing being a wash except I won't get my value back on suspension upgrades and would need to turn around and do it again on the Gen 3. So for me it would be a loss. And that's with the assumption aftermarket parts were even available, which they aren't.
My Gen 2 sagged with my 400 lbs loadout in the rear until I replaced the springs. I assume the Gen 3 will be no different. Exactly why I'm not jumping on the Gen 3 bandwagon yet. I'm waiting to let the bugs get sorted, new aftermarket products developed, mid-generational changes implemented...
I've decided to just wait on the 3rd or 4th year of production. Waiting for the world supply chain to right itself and for mid-generational updates. If history repeats itself, you should be able to negotiate below MSRP. So I guess it depends on how much you "need" it.
I love my Baja Designs amber SAE fog lights, I use them anytime I'm driving in the dark. The difference is subtle....really just warms up the feel of the lighting and cuts through rain and fog a bit better. It's not going to dramatically make everything brighter given that they are SAE and not...
Mine lives outside right now and it doesn't bother me. We are getting ready to build a new house, so I put 8 ft garage doors in the spec. So once done, it'll be stored inside.
I found a local shop in my area and had them rebuild them. If the guy is good, he can get them done in one day. Just make sure they have the correct OEM refilling tool or have them install Schrader valves.
Personally I hate the color matching, I like some contrast and being able to tie in other accessories. The good thing for you is that my opinion doesn't matter. Do what is going to make you grin the most.
I prefer the dealership so there is no doubt in case of warranty issues. Worth the extra 20 minutes of driving and about the same wait for the work. Plus I can easily add things like cabin air filters, engine filters and wiper blades. If you want to pay them to rotate and balance it can also...
Wouldn't have helped me, the guy trying to steal my gas just cut the fuel filler hose above the gas tank. Cost me $600 to repair. The stock setup is enough to deter opportunists, anyone who really wants it will figure out a way.
Not really worried about someone putting sugar in the...
The weight of the canopy and any gear will make the Raptor sag for sure. I figure I've got about 400 lbs in the back and it definitely sags a leveled truck. I had just purchased Deaver +3HD leaf springs for the rear, but never got them installed before I decided to get an F150 Tremor instead.
I like that it's a bit different from what you see everyday, it's got that utilitarian look about it. It's been a solid cap for me, I love the positive air pressure vent in dusty areas, but you have to keep a decent speed up or dust can still seep in around the tailgate. Still way less dust...
I am moving my RSI SmartCap EVO Sport from my Gen 2 Raptor to my new F150 Tremor when it comes in. If I were getting the Gen 3 Raptor, I would do the same thing. I tried a tonneau cover for about a year and just kept hitting the ceiling on space. I think all trucks look better without a...
