I think they moved the tabs mounting the winch back a little bit. My non 37 pkg gen3 raptor fit a 37" in the spare tire location without any rubbing though.
Yes definitely that makes a difference and important to note the shocks are different both mechanically and tuning wise. I was surprised the chassis and fenders had no difference other then the spare tire locations when I picked up my 35 raptor.
It’s good to identify any and all differences...
For the shock tuning? Whatever clearance issue you would have on the 35 pkg you would have on the 37 pkg. It’s the same clearance wi to the only difference in chassis is spare tire location but a 37 still fits.
The shock tuning is different and maybe a limiting strap but not sure outside of...
I mounted 37s on my stock bead locks and didnt rub at all full articulated. The 37 pkg doesn’t have issues and the only difference I can find is in the spare tire location. This is with stock offset, so there must be a pretty big difference between gen2 / gen3 fenders
From Post #1 here:
“Tires are BFGoodrich 37X12.5R17LT 116S KO's (specs here) - which are what also come with the 37 Package but my Raptor was not a 37 pkg.”
The only difference in 35" / 37" raptor chassis I could find was in the spare tire location. Don't see why they would rub with stock...
Good point, the tires were listed in Post #1 here. Tires are BFGoodrich 37X12.5R17LT 116S KO's (specs here) - which are what also come with the 37 Package, however my Raptor was not a 37 pkg. The only other difference I could find on the chassis was in the spare tire location. Otherwise it was...
Have you tried crawling and encountered rubbing? I’ve full articulated my 37s on my stock wheels and haven’t encountered any rubbing. Gen 3 raptor fenders are completely different from gen 2 raptor fenders. Stock wheel beedlocks or any other wheel matching those specs / offset will be fine
Using stock wheels I fit 37s on my stock raptor without 37 package. Offset was 34mm on OEM Beadlocks. I think that same wheel/tire combo on gen2 would rub. To me there’s a huge difference between gen2/gen3 chassis
Stock wheels are less aggressive and clear fully flexed but don’t offer the look / stance but function very well. Aggressive offset intentionally introduces clearance issues you have to address
Have 3k miles 37's installed on my 35" gen3. No hit in power or MPG that I can notice (probably since 37's are technically lighter now then the stock 35's by 1lbs approx). Better ride quality with the camper with the the extra sidewall.
No issues with spare 37 under the bed either. Run a...
On a flex ramp no issue but my guess if i send it that 1inch of extra travel I have w/ 37's would be an issue. I would have restrict the travel 1" like the 37 package does.
I have a softer ride and more sidewall to work with as far as my camper setup goes. No change in acceleration mostly I think due to fact that these 37s are lighter then the 35s on the scale. Really an ideal setup for my camper. Offset is great with factory headlock upgraded wheels. Also better...
No change in mpg on my gen3 35 raptor w/ 37 load C's. These tires are not the normal +10 lbs as with other tires when going 37. In fact my stock wheels w/ 35s were heavier and wider.
