I was towing with mine which is why I put them at highest setting. I normally ran with an RPG chase rack, 2-37’s, jack, and 2 kids in back seat. The clunking, thunking, creaking is unbearable. I’m hoping I just have a bad set of springs and Icon can help out. They were great for the first 3...
Update on my Icon adjustable leafs:
I’ve had them on since Nov 2018, originally posted install with pics. Set at highest setting. Worked well for a few months. Love stance and feel. Eventually started hearing thunk at slow speeds. Slowly progressed to constant thunk over any little bump...
Update on my Icon adjustable leafs:
I’ve had them on since Nov 2018. Set at highest setting. Worked well for a few months. Eventually started hearing thunk at slow speeds. Slowly progressed to constant thunk over any little bump. At this time it’s an embarrassment to drive the truck. I’ve...
Listing my +3HD powdercoated Deavers again. I finally brought them back to MInneapolis. They were stored in WI. Used for 1 month. $1200. Prefer local sale, but if no interest winthin a week or so I will consider shipping.
Would also consider trading for some rare/allocated high end bourbons :)
Ya, don’t do setting 2 without some lift on the front. It would look and handle terrible. At least put some collars up front. Unless you are loading the bed with some constant weight.
Coating looks fine. No rust visible. I did coat well with Amsoil HDMP. We’ll see how they look in March. I’m gonna cost the entire frame of my next truck with Amsoil. Super easy and seems to protect well.
I currently have an IWE issue on my ‘17. I’m too lazy to fix right now. I’ll fix it soon, just got the parts. In the meantime I leave it in 4A for all driving. Actually been driving in 4A for the past month. It doesn’t switch to 4H. It’s perfectly fine to leave in 4A. Might take a little...
I have the same setup. I would definitely raise the front a touch. I added 4 turns to the preload on the Fox’s with the Icon rears at full height. Once I get the chance I’ll add another 2 turns to the preload. I’ll still have a touch of rake as well.
Love them. I’m glad I put them on highest lift. They settled about 1/4”. I like the rake a still have and allows me to load the rear without sag. Once I get a chance I think I’ll still add another 2 turns to the front preload to raise a hair more. The ride is smooth. I feel like I can dial...
Ya, still not sure on ride height issue but bushings were tight as hell and even within 1 month I could see the bushings on the camburgs take a beating, despite being pressed into place correctly. Just a very tight fit vs the stock shackles.
Ya, you should be able to get the leaf into a neutral position and get the shackle off. Might take some trial and error with jacking the axle just right. My concern is that my Camburgs went in real tight with the new bushings and I had to pry them out, compared to the stock shackles which...
When you switch them, just compare the range of motion for the stock vs the Camburg by holding them in position and rotate until they contact the leaf. I never used the springs hard with the Camburg’s on because I had them on backwards as well, but when I flipped them ROM seemed even worse...
I hit the dirt every now and then. Family owns about 500 acres, trails, woods, mud, fields. Mainly hunting land. Hasn’t taken flight though :)
I did destroy a flare with my KM2s, (bought some new flares off of Tasca), no contact however with the KO2s. Trimmed the plastic a bit, nothing...
Front and rear were both sitting at 43” with the Deaver +3HD and 37s, but I had previously dialed in the Fox’s To have .5” rake when I had the regular Deaver +3s on. The 37s give me an extra inch on the measure.
The 45.25” is empty bed. I get a little compression with the spare and jack back...
