The weatherpack connectors are real nice. Admittedly it helps to see a diagram to know what order the parts should go together, but honestly I thought it was easy to do with a pair of needle nose pliers. Just pay close attention and dont just try to MASH it hulk style
I just installed some squadron sports with SDHQ bed mounts just for that very purpose:
I think the amber covers are on backorder or something, I ordered them from amazon like 10 days ago and they still haven't shipped yet.
I of course tested these at night and they are very bright, they...
Currently about a 6-8 week wait on the exchange program. They've got a lot of demand. I tried sourcing a set of used shocks to send to them but haven't found an economical deal yet. Its so hard to be patient
Thanks for that link, I'll see if I can get he OP to repost the pictures or send them to me and I can host them.
And good to know about SnoBall too, this will be more a nice to have then if I find a good way to execute. Thank you!
Very cool, that would do the trick. Looks like that is a 2017 maybe, because the raised rails in my bed have a different pattern. I dont have as much room around the bed bolts.
I would need a D-Ring no wider than 2" in order for those to work in my truck.
I wonder if I could drill out the...
You could try it. I imagine the prep is the most important part. Its not like you'll be throwing a ton of heavy equipment over your fenders like you would in the truck bed, so toughness isn't as critical either. its mostly for looks there.
I want to go to SnoBall this year and need to mount the tire in the truck bed, but I dont want to drill any holes into my freshly line-x'd truck bed.
Anyone concocted a method to strap a spare tire into the truck bed without drilling holes?
Maybe a solution using the existing bed...
Squadron Sports installed as chase lights:
The amber covers are backordered through amazon, not sure how long before I get them, but hopefully before January. ;)
I took my time on the wiring, I wanted it to be indistinguishable from factory. I used an automotive quality high heat wire...
Its supposed to wobble, thats what helps absorb the vibration from the frame.
I think it was a bigger problem on the trucks with the longer 6.5' bed. It was definately an issue on my old 2006 FX4.
There is supposed to be only one on the drivers side.
Whats really scummy is the absolutely bonkers $500/year they want you to suddenly start paying for their "3rd party hosting" service. It's rape.
I use ImgBB — Upload Image — Free Image Hosting now, they seem kind of new but the embeded image linking features are super handy when sharing pics.
The baja mount looks like it would be more sturdy, the way they have two bolts on each side to keep the light from rocking up and down.
I was trying to find dimensions on the BD onx6 but I can only find them for the 10" bar.
Anyone know of a 20" light bar mount that will work with both the Rigid E series 20" light bar and the BD Onx6 20" light bar?
Or are these mounts pretty specific to a particular brand/model light bar so I need to buy a mount for each if I wanted to swap back and forth?
Decided I'm going to go without the bedrug and tonneau cover.
Added line-x
And added the SDHQ chase light mounts
The BD Squarons should be here Monday, it'll be my first application for the outfitter switches
Thanks, I'm already in line! I think I might still have another 5 weeks to go before its my turn so I'm still hunting for a spare set someone might want to sell so I can send them in for rebuild a little quicker.
Installed a Tuffy underseat storage box today, so nice to have the room to store the tow straps, towing equipment, etc without it rolling around back there.
