Free for whoever wants it.
If you want me to ship it then you'll have to cover shipping costs. Might be $100-$150.
I'm located in Northern Michigan, in Petoskey
Or, I'll be at SnoBall 2020 and can bring it with me.
Bump.
$15 shipped.
Wiring harness has one 12" section that was repaired, but works great and should be weather tight.
Hopefully someone can use this?
Just want it out of my garage.
SDHQ chase light mounts for your truck bed.
I used these to mount a set of Baja Desgins squadruns for chase lights and they worked great.
I'll include the wiring harness I made that plugs into the baja designs weatherpack connectors and runs the length of the truck up to the aux wiring...
I can't comment on the camera stuff, but this temperature thing isn't a big deal. Now that I have a 2019 explorer with Sync 3 stock, I know what others were talking about.
In a stock Sync 3 vehicle, like the 2019 Explorer, when you turn the temperature knob you will see the temperature in the...
The driver's side upper ball joint developed about 1/8" worth of play, so, time for ball joints.
I found Moog only makes an economy upper control arm. I haven't been a fan of Mevotech parts before, but Mevotech makes a "premium" upper control arm as opposed to their economy part that would be...
Thanks Dalamar, I've really been enjoying the truck. The Deaver +2 in the rear are perfect for me. With mid-perch up front the truck sits level with maybe a half inch higher in the rear, which I think is a perfect look. And with mid-perch the front suspension isn't over extended. I am still...
Hmm. In my case I haven't used carplay or android play. My phone is connected via bluetooth however (I have a Google Pixel 3). But I have yet to nail down any environmental variables that are different when it starts normally or if it starts with the radio off.
So I've had an adventure with rear leaf springs.
I liked the WSI HD's, but even with the RPG lowering shackle raised the rear of the truck a little too high for my taste:
So I went to RPG and Deaver and they recommended I try the Deaver +2 HD. Well those turned out to be pretty much...
Has anyone who upgraded to Sync 3 had an intermittent issue where the radio is off when you start the truck sometimes, even though the radio was on last time you turned the truck off?
I wonder if this is a bug in the Sync 3 3.0 version I'm running....
These things are heavy, about 120lbs each. So shipping will be pricey, probably should expect $250-$300 for shipping.
weiser27, I just sent you a PM with details for your zip.
Up for sale is a set of Deaver +2HD rear leafs for a gen 1, and I'll include the RPG rear shackles too. They have about 5k miles on them.
These would look and ride great for a truck that carries about 300lb in the bed on a regular basis or is towing regularly.
On my supercab, without any...
This guy knows his stuff.
I had a buddy of mine in the industry just PPF the sides of my gen 1 to protect it when offroading (fenders, doors, bedsides. Nothing on the hood roof or tailgate). Typically that would have cost me $3500-$4k. He's an Opti guy, used Opticoat's PPF. He did not use...
@RDFTS I wish I did, its hard to capture the light output with phone cams, never seems to do it justice.
The spot lenses don't do much to project the XL80 light further, it just doesnt spread it out to the sides quite as much as the combo lens. I mainly switched to keep some more glare off...
I updated my ASBUILT for ForScan post, a few posts up.
I originally used 5753-XXXX-XXXX for 7D0-02-01 (region) and 0001 XX for 7D0-04-02 (parking sensor type). This caused my parking sensors to fault and for the speed limit signs to look european in the navigation.
I've updated the...
Thanks, looking for the XL Racer edition though.
I'd be willing to sell my XL80's outright for $500 shipped, if that's an option for anyone. They are in great condition except on the top of one of the lights the BD logo has gotten partially blasted off from a power washer (oops).
here's some...
I bought the screen and APIM for $260 off car-part.com, and spent maybe another $100-$150 on odds and ends (USB hub, cable, forscan cable, etc). So around $400 all in I think.
Completed my conversion today and got everything working (sync 3 version 2.2):
Overall it wasn't too bad. Huge thanks to @tock for sending me his APIM AsBuilt configuration. I updated it so it uses the Ford startup screen. I have a 2013 supercab with heated and cooled seats, backup camera...
A couple updates:
I decided I didn't like the VHF radio audio piped through the stock sound system, since it means you can't listen to music on runs and stuff. So I installed an external speaker. This is the Uniden Bearcat BC20 and it wedges in perfectly here next to the drivers leg, near the...
Yeah, I'm using spot lenses with the XL80's. The Onx6 hi-power bar I have does a good enough job of lighting up the mid range, I need more long range, and especially the A pillars are a great location for longer range lights like the racer editions.
I'll shoot you a PM
