78.4" or 78,5" according to Ford.
I don't know what a "standard" garage is, I'd strongly suggest measuring. My garage is 78.5" high (literally). Have never tried putting Raptor in it though.
The only controls I really mind are the climate...it's just a giant grid of buttons. Non-nav trucks seem to have a better layout (because they have more space and they used more knobs).
Can't go wrong either way. I went black but have seen a few orange ones that just look amazing too.
Watch out for Hennessey stuff, For instance, their Procharger package has a few thousand dollars worth of markup in it compared to what Procharger will set it for.
Welcome! I'll definitely have to make it over to the retail store one of these days!
Just was looking through the pics on your website and need to give props to the photographer....I think it's just a mild fisheye they're using but it makes the trucks look enormous.
Do you guys do perch...
I would strongly recommend against going fast off road and/or even thinking about getting any wheels off the ground with that setup.
I'm basing this on the fact that those are 33" tires and you've gone to 20" wheels. You've lost about 2.5" of tire radius (RADIUS, not diameter). You only...
Ah, I could definitely be wrong on that...on the GM trucks I'd always heard it was through the audio system. You had to get a special module if you replaced the stock head unit.
Everything is playing through the radio speakers. This is a computer/programming issue, there are a given number of audio channels available/allowed, and once those are exceeded the computer either stops playing new sounds or prioritizes them appropriately.
My 2004 GMC Sierra had the same type...
Nice...I'd love to retrofit a front camera if possible (can see that likely not being the case). Have always thought that'd be a great feature for cresting hills and such.
I just want to find a good plastic/rubberized item that says nothing. Truck already has Ford, SVT, and Raptor emblems on the back of it, I don't like redundancy. :) Anyone know where I can get one online? Auto parts stores seem to detest the idea.
Remember that ALL of the H1 is that width though, unlike the Raptor with it's much narrower standard-F150-width body.
Funny how these have not become any less awesome to me since seeing them 20 or so years ago:
Raptor is by far the most expensive truck (optioned up). Harleys, Limiteds, and Platinums can all be purchased with substantially more discount/rebate even though the MSRPs are very close.
An ecoboost limited/plat will also make it substantially more economical with gas.
You can also get...
Dynamic pressure = 1/2 ρ v^2
ρ = air density
v = velocity
Total drag = Cd * SA * 1/2 * ρ * v^2
Cd = coefficient of drag
SA = reference surface area
Raptor has a whole bunch of Cd and a whole bunch of SA which adds up to not much MPG.
There's no point in paying attention to anything other...
This is my first vehicle with traction and/or stability control. Must say so far I find it pretty lenient on road and in wet conditions. Have deliberately stepped the back end out around wet corners a few times specifically to see where the threshold is, and it was a heck of a lot farther out...
Have never been a fan of Chrysler, always thought they were a bit lacking on the quality front.
But that truck is just plain awesome, and I'm thrilled to see the Raptor become so that you'll be able to get one (with significant improvements) in 20 years. The alternative is that you get to...
Have never found more idiotic comments than on truly "general public" sites. Most of the knowledgeable folks won't bother to comment beyond "wow, that's impressive", so the majority of such discussion winds up being pure nonsense.
Within a few pages it should naturally devolve into a...
It was 56* outside, climate control was set at 66*, "AUTO" was off, A/C was off.
I turned the temperature up to 68. Looked down ten minutes later and the A/C was on.
This has happened a few times before, independent of any input. I'll look down and just notice it's decided to run the...
