Huntington Beach Ford and Ken Grody Ford are insane price-wise. Ken Grody employees laughed at me (literally) when I indicated that I wasn't interested in even paying MSRP for one. I've never actually dealt with HB, the people I've talked with there were nice but I've never talked price on a...
How badly bent is the truck in general (beyond the frame and front suspension)? I thought I read this was being parted out...why not get a new frame and rebuild it? Or is just about everything tweaked?
This is a ten foot ramp:

I can't find a good picture of it showing the full item. It's possible to unload flat with it, but it's a heck of a lot easier in a dip. This ramp does have an arc to it. I can see the longer ramp...
Thanks for the suggestions. No keys on keyring (and tried both). Only potential RF source is a cell phone. Haven't tried pulling the cover, but may well just dump it on the dealer this week.
My 2011 won't start by the ignition switch with either key. Remote start works fine.
Have tried disconnecting/reconnecting battery. Swapped starter-related relays with not-very-important relays. Fuses look good. Tapping/hitting (not hard) the steering column while trying to start has no...
Welcome, and nice work!
Somewhat of a fan of Google here, they (indirectly) paid for my truck too. Still waiting on my 458 & MP412C though...probably going to need to sell a *few* more apps to get there.
Both mine and my brother's Raptor developed the same "seat" squeak in the driver's seat. Issue was the seatbelt receptacle (which pivots for and aft and left and right). A tiny bit of WD-40 cured it.
To see if you have this issue: Grab the receptacle and pull it aft as far at it will go...
Nice work, that looks excellent!
I too am not a huge fan of the silver...really wish these panels weren't painted at all (stock finish is prone to scratching/scuffing).
Very curious to know what the limiting factor on the GVWR might be. If it's a mechanical issue I'd guess soft rear springs, which is, as mentioned, readily correctible. It could also be a regulatory issue, or an absurd legal protection issue.
The idea that I'm well-exceeding the payload of...
Each of mine turns on an LED...located directly above the switch.
Also, certain friends also use them to annoy me and then complain that I should really hook something up to them already. :D
If 2014 is the next-generation F-150, then I bet there won't be a 2014 Raptor. If they make a Raptor version of the next generation, it'll likely be a 2015 or 2016. Most all vehicle manufacturers won't make a specialty version for a year or two after debuting an all-new vehicle.
I don't...
I've seen people ask a few times here about tying down motorcycles in a Raptor. I just got back from a trip to Mammoth with my Dad with our two FZ-1s in the back. Mounted a 1/2" eye bolt through the bed, dead center, just over 6" aft of the front bed wall for a center tie-down point. Placing...
Thanks eveyone! Need to go down to a dealer and test drive a Supercab just as a refresher. I think I'll be fine with the reduced space though.
To those with MyFordTouch in 2012 or earlier vehicles: have you upgraded to the 2013 software yet? If so, is it still slow?
I actually find the...
Thinking about going to a 2013 Supercab from the current 2011 Supercrew. I was extremely on the fence about Supercab vs. Supercrew. I do like the utility of the crew but honestly rarely make use of it.
I'm also starting to become a bit annoyed with my decision to go black. It's a beautiful...
I wouldn't make a call on the headlights until you see the darkened FX/HD/Raptor version.
Has anyone used the 2013 MyFordTouch system? The 2012 version (which is upgradeable) is utter garbage. You can see that the developers didn't have a clue what they were doing by using it for five minutes...
Nice find! That'd be my question as well, if the chrome bit were blacked out Raptor/HD/FX4-style, it might look very good. If they're all chrome I'll be going retrofit.
