My truck started squeaking from underneath recently and in spite of trying to keep the leave springs clean its gotten progressively worse. I think its squeaking at the front AND rear. I was thinking that I'd get under there and spray some penetrating oil; what spots should I target?
As was previously mentioned...and my experience also... if you are hauling materials and camping gear you might not like the Raptor. Even though it can "handle" the load it squats a LOT. Then you have to deal with getting flashed by everyone who thinks your high-beams are on. With all of the...
Guys thanks for your interest. I'm not able to respond to every reply but I am hoping someone has some technical insight. If there is something I can tweak in Forscan or if I can check electrical output on the position sensors...or something. I've already played up and down with tire pressure...
Set up? It was nothing special....2007 Nissan Titan crew cab 4x4. Leveling spacer in front, Bilestein 5100s, Nitto Trail Grappler 33x11.5x18 tires with 40 PSI.
Maybe I'm calling it wrong. Its when I hit bumps and the rear end kicks out. Worse than anything else I've owned but somehow normal for a modern truck with high performance suspension.
2019 early build Raptor: Think I’ll take it back to the dealer next week. I’m still convinced that it rides abnormally rough. This past weekend I spent a couple days running the forest roads and was very disappointed. The ride is always stiff and jittery and I feel every single road...
Over the years I went through four sets of Nitto Trail Grapplers on my '07 Titan. Loved them so much I kept buying them. Drove through a lot of really muddy swamps and NEVER got stuck. They are a little noisy but quiet for a mud tire; and you will probably notice more vibration too. They are...
So just messing around I unbolted mine so that I could manipulate the position sensors manually. Tried all the way up and all the way down and it made no difference in the on-road driving quality. I also unplugged both sensors, which resulted in loss of driving modes and a weirdly bumpy ride.
Ahh OK...I was going to take a closer look today but now I see your right. At least I know that I can change the threshold value for the low pressure alarm.
Thanks for putting up with my noobness.
1) Regarding the load range on tires…I know that my OEM tires are rated as “C”; but the tires I want are rated as “E”. I’ve never worried about this on a ½ pick-up but how critical would it be on my ’19 Raptor? And what would be consequences of using a D...
So I’ve been complaining about the stiff ride quality on my 2019 Raptor, and the advise that’s often given is to lower down my tire pressure. I am not doubting the benefits of doing such, especially for traction, but the question that continues to plague me is shouldn’t the much touted Live...
So, I bought this portable air pump:

I know its not a Viair but after buying a Raptor my wallet isnt as fat anymore. Planning another beach fishing trip this weekend and I will drop the tires down lower than before.
That's a good idea with the co2 tank. But hey I was just thinking...why should it even be necessary to air down the tires so much to get a smooth ride when the truck comes with the super fancy Fox Live Valve set-up? Isn't that real-time monitoring and adaptability supposed to be its main party...
So I let the air down to 28 psi yesterday for a day at the beach. I could feel somewhat improvement on pavement but off road driving is still harsh to me (in Deep Sand/Snow mode). Encountered a group of two jeeps and a Subaru travelling at a faster than normal pace through the dunes; not wanting...
