I'd like to comment about this now that I've had it on for a few months. I'm actually glad that I installed the trombone; its a good improvement over stock without being intrusive or obnoxious. Kinda changes the tone to a nice little burble of dual pipes, instead of the stock moo cow in a pipe...
IME Performance blue is different enough from most other vehicles that it gets more attention and positive feedback. Women especially seem to like it. And it does shift a little in the light vs shade. Sometimes it almost has a greenish tint to it. Other times it looks like LB
I'm about to take the truck on a long trip; so I'll do another detailed write up when I return. Right now I'm only driving a few miles to work in bumper to bumper traffic so its hard to play around. The times I switch on the 4A i get tired of if quickly and switch back to 2wd
Its a pull hard enough that it will jerk the steering wheel and send me to the shoulder if im not ready. Definitely cant drive one handed in 4A mode. The only way I can use it is both hands on the wheel and turn "into" it when I'm accelerating. Also notable is that if I'm intentionally steering...
4A mode: Steering wheel pulls hard to the right only under acceleration. Its not just a little tug like torque steer in a front-wheel-drive car…no it’s a hard pull to the right that has me fighting the wheel and swerving. Been like that since I bought the truck new. 2019 model year built in Nov...
During the recent cold snap I had ample opportunity to use the heated seat system. Regarding the rear seats, they will not reactivate after the next ignition power cycle…remote start or not. The front passenger seat however will reactivate after a key cycle BUT if started with remote start it...
So when I use remote start on cold mornings only the steering wheel and drivers seat heater comes on. Not the passenger seat or the rear seats. Is this normal or should they all activate with remote start?
Its still the same. Super loud when the truck has been sitting; then it tames a little after I've driven...although it never goes away entirely. I even hear it on the highway when the engine is under load such as going up hill.
I just cast my vote for no drone; although there is a small amount of steady resonance at 75-80 mph. I'd descibe it as a smooth sound. Its really not loud at all. I was expecting it to be a lot louder. Honestly at some city traffic speeds the overall sound seems quieter than stock, but then the...
I ended up ordering an assortment of tools; 15mm crowfoot, ratcheting wrench, medium depth socket, tite-reach extension, and wrench extender adaptor. Something is bound to work. Might be a few more days before I mess with it again because I sprained the absolute **** out of my wrist trying to...
So I did find the bolts hiding under the foam...FINALLY had a momment of me time and tried to install this thing BUT my factory clamps have the nuts facing upward toward the bottom of the cab. I could not get to it with any combination of tools. Anyone else run into this?
So hows the install for these? Is it just a matter of unclamping the old and reusing the hardware? or are we cutting and welding? Mine didn't come with any hardware or general instruction and I'd prefer to do as little damage as possible to be able to easily swap back to stock.
Heres a question...I want the BD backlighting to turn on with my regular parking lights; not with an upfitter. Whats a good place to tap into the parking light circuit??
UPDATE: I purchased a Swarfworks front bumper light mount, two Baja Designs LP6 amber driving/combo, and two Lp6 clear spot. That should give me a significant boost in light output for now. The a pillar lights, rear lights, and rock lights will all have to wait. Ultimately chose Baja Designs...
Anyone have experience with this mount?:

LOL. Thanks but my neighbors would be rolling on the floor with that. To be clear I'm not a midget, just a little on the short side. LOL! Make up for it with muscles though. Anyways...
Not sure if I like the aesthetics of cube lights in the fog light locations. Kinda looks like weird teeth on...
Because I'm vertically challenged and they make a perfect step into the engine bay. LOL
And I like seeing knobby tires and suspension parts through the openings. Looks tough.
