I've only had a JDM tune that i['m pleased with. I understand there are "hotter" tunes.
The @JDM uses the SCT hardware and includes transmission tuning at no additional cost (as of the time I purchased it).
As far as "features", tire size /speedo correction, stop/start disable, Octane agnostic...
I'm not sure that's totally true. I have an '18 and it only got updates to 3.0xxxx however, I manually formatted it and updated it to 3.4. So I think the Software setup may be different (requiring "heroic efforts") but I think the hardware is basically the same.
Dealer installed the Borla with x-pipe on my truck as a dealer add on. I got it home listed for a few days. It was too loud with no bass. I gave up on it and installed the resonator in place of the x-pipe. it quieted down a bit and sounded better. it's still not throaty by any stretch but it's...
I use a hitch carrier for my 1190 Adv.
Easy to load by myself, keep the bed empty for my other crap (you have to go over the sides as the gate is blocked by the bike)
Always hitch height so I can keep my feet on the ground.
To be fair, it is a lot of weight to hang off the back of the raptor....
I'm not sure why I said I had 37's I'm running 35's. But i get your point. the tire size (correctly) was added to the tune set up in the SCT device. I wonder if that's been lost, or if it' was only used for speedo calculations...
2018 Screw, JDM tune, CAI, FMIC, Borla Exhaust, 37" tires.
I was driving home from the airport this morning, the total time the vehicle was running was about 45mins. The vehicle was in Sport mode cruising at about 80mph.
The truck drops into limp mode and throws a wrench on the dash.
I pull...
OP did you ever get this sorted?
@acllowe Yep that's the fix for most of the issues, I had those lights in and out 3 times before I figured out I didn't need those black boxes and removed them. suddenly lights work just fine. Although there is no dimming of the DRLs, those jokers are on bright...
LOL. Started out ok and in the daylight. Couldn't get the bottom bolts in lost the light...gonna have to take them back out tomorrow and do the trim thing.
In no particular order...
I'm fine cobbling together a bracket. My point is for $1799 list (I paid $1529) I expect a few basic things. 1) I bought something that won't work for me, that that shit back unopened in the first seven days and don't charge me for the ability to return it. Return...
You are correct I misstated, it is extra. I saw it in a back age and it worked our to about $160 in that configuration. The point I was making, however, is that it is available, ADD thought about it.
I asked about waiving the fee, the email I got the next day (because they don't answer the phone) pointed me at a policy page that basically said you gotta pay for us to take stuff back. And for what it's worth I did try to get an answer to the fitment with an ACC bracket, I didn't get and still...
ADD does, sure. But the ADD (rightfully so) isn't concerned with someone else's IC and if the bracket works with that. ADD is a good example, with their IC they include an ACC bracket that DOES work if you need it.
Mountune has taken the position that we provide the IC, anything else is up to...
Yes, a provocative title and a lot of this is on me. but I really expected this company to be better ...
Short(ish) version -
I bought a Mountune FMIC for my 2018 Screw, I have an ADD bumper that required and ACC relo bracket. After I ordered the IC I asked Mountune what brackets work, they...
