Agree completely man. I can also get a brand new one but just know I would miss my Gen 1 if I did, just like when I sold my 1st Mustang GT, I still have dreams about it, it was a 86 GT back when I was a kid. Lesson learned my Gen 1 is a keeper and now its a weekend toy and occasional work...
Over all I really like the front end of the Gen 2 is the best. But I love the Curves of the Gen 1. Especially when you look at at certain angles and especially from the top view. Curves like a Fine Woman. As far as engine and drive train....well thats extremely argumentative on here and don't...
I posted my absolute best and average and worst. When playing it be around 11. Best was 18.8. On slow Hilly back roads hour drive to the track I've gotten between 16 and 17. Average to work and back mix of mostly highway some street lights 14.8 in the summer.
What purpose would any of us have to make this up???? This forum is to share information and I did just that. U don't give a rats a... if a truck is Gen 1 2 or 3. Or a Dodge or a Chevy. I love all American made Trucks. Its the gear head in me and us
Wrong D....bag. why would make that up. That was the best I ever got but doable. There were times I was going like 55 but never had any stop and go traffic. I average 14. 8 going back and forth ti work.
I was told when I experienced clunking on small frost heaves is that it's the Hydraulic actuation on the OFF ROAD SHOCKS. My Gen1 has done it for over 176,000 miles even after Shock rebuild. Nothing is wrong just noisy off road suspension. Also have changed lower ball joints over the yrs
I hear ya. Its all personal preference. Its a Truck, no matter what you do its gonna ride like a truck. Its all what ya use it for also. Me carrying loads etc 40 is what works for me and I have longevity but sacrifice soft ride but handles better on bends unless there is a pothole in it. Lol
I never go off of door. Thats just ride comfort to me. I go by usage. And what the tire manufacturer says for usage. I appear to very good Tread life. I have never complained
I run at 40 psi. Lower the tire pressure the quicker they ware. Ofcourse I deflate for off road but 90 percent of my driving is highway. A guy I work with got an actual letter from BFG and told him to run higher pressure for longevity when he complained and found out to be true
I get 45,000 miles out of mine with some tread left. Could go more but I replaced them when the cost is cheaper. Proper tire pressure and good alignment is key
