I will keep that in mind. Didn't know about them. But if I can I wanna keep it numbers matching. It's a while down the road for me. If it ain't broke then don't fix it
Some day when I do a rebuild it's the route I'm going to take. Price QUOTE I got doing a full rebuild on mine was 20k. And I was told that if nothing is wrong with it don't need to do it. Very good Experienced techs told me that engine when well maintained they seem them with 400k miles in fleet...
Nope. I actually like the reusable kind. They last forever. Just clean em and service them properly. After ya spray on the oil, dampen off the excess and let it sit for a day and again dampen off any excess and reinstall
Gen 1 is a Great solid truck. I have 190,000 miles on it all it needs is routine maintenance stuff. Mine is a 2011, only parts I have replaced on it were the shocks and Molded lead frame just recently crapped out on it but no biggie in getting it replaced and only 1 coil pack went out on it...
Long story short. I need a new Backup camera for my 2011 Gen1. OEM is 554 dollars. Does anyone have a good recommendation for OEM quality aftermarket one? I saw one for 159 dollars on Master Tailgaters, has anyone used theirs? And Ford has discontinued the emblem so wandering if I can replace it...
I have 190,000 miles on mine. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I had 1 go out on me at 90,000 mile mark, the rest are still going strong. There is no guarantee that replacing them will do anything. I know some people fail at 30,000 miles and some like me that just keep going
I went to a local Alternator repair shop. They actually make the entire thing look Brand New. It was about 100 dollars less than buying brand new. I obviously did my own removal and installation. Highly recommend doing that unless you are really good at sodering and etc. Plus I thought all the...
I just had mine replaced as it failed on me on my 2011. Replaced with updated part number. 200 dollar part but after all done with installation and flushing total price was 1,100 bucks. My truck has 189k miles on it
From what I know about the Gen3 is that there are a few different exhaust modes. Maybe he has it Baja mode and doesn't know that there quieter settings
If it has Direct Injection....Stay Far Away. They nothing but problems after 40 to 50k miles. If ya lucky you could make it to 80k before all the coking happens
Enjoy what ya got. You have a brand new truck and a Great truck for many more yrs. Hell many of us Gen 1 owners still have and Love ours and can mod em up to our own liking and still ride with smiles and get thumbs up everywhere we go.
That straight 6 that Dodge is using is also Direct Injection. Now they'll have all that coking on the Valves like the VWs have and the newer GM trucks will have
