If you do shock rebuild with Forged Off-road you won't have any down time if you do there Exchange program. They give you a rebuilt set and you have a certain amount of days to give them yours so they can put into the exchange program. Only down time is however long it takes you to Remove and...
I did Shock rebuild. Absolutely zero down time. I used Forged Off Road. Its a exchange. They sent me a rebuilt set and I had so many days to send them my originals. Plug and play and very affordable. No complaints at all and very happy with what I got
Exactly what 2slo4u said. Raptor not at all ment for towing that heavy. If you do you will have to do alot of upgrades including brakes. My Gen1 with 6.2 engine had a hard time stopping in time to avoid an accident with 500 lbs in the bed and I was standing on the brake pedal
I've had a clunk noise in front end since the day I bought mine yrs ago brand new on small bumps like frost heaves and small pot holes only. Come to find out threw research and from Ford that it is the normal Hydraulic actuation in the shocks itself. Its a noisy off road suspension. And yes...
mid perch setting is a different story. Mid perch puts the Raptor its originally designed ride height and handles way better. The DOT made Ford lower bumper height thus the extra low setting
Just my opinion. Take it for what its worth. I am NO fan of of a lift kit on a Raptor. Takes away what the truck was designed for and so on and so on. Especially handeling
I have a 2011. 173,000 miles on it. All I ever had to do was just routine maintenance and shock rebuild. Only thing that crapped out on it was 1 coil pack. Thats it. EXTREMELY RELIABLE TRUCK. I had my cab corners done last yr. I live in CT. If the cab corners have any blistering I recommend...
On my Gen1 I had 1 coil go out on me and the engine went into self protect mode. Vibrated like a jack hammer as it shut down power to the engine and no air conditioning and such. So from my experience on coil packs is it will REALLY RUN like crap when they go bad. Doesn't sound like a Coil...
I've had both KO2s C and the E load range. The Cs definitely road better and I will never use a E on the Raptor ever again. I get 60,000 out of both. If you run low tire pressure with the E they don't last long at all. BF Goodrich will tell you the same. So to get good mileage out if the E range...
Wow. Im jealous. Lol. Someday I plan on Superchargering mine. I going with Roush stage 2. Don't wanna get to crazy as my track record with my mustangs isn't good. Lol
I'm waiting for the original owner to get on here and say he wants his truck back. LOL. Are the Brakes upgraded? That was and still is my only complaint about mine? Whenever I get more cash I'm upgrading my calipers to Willwood or similar
Well for me and many others. The 6.2L is a GREAT RAPTOR ENGINE. Produces plenty of power as is and very easy to add more, easy to work on, and Extremely Reliable. In all my experiences as a life long mechanic the more techy it gets the less Reliable it gets. I see it in Aviation, Dirt Bikes...
You rt on alot of things Ford Tech one. However the 6.2 has always been just maintain, turn the key and go. No cam phaser issues and the other stuff I see posted on here all the time. The 6.2 is in Super Dutys as well and I personally know a few of em with Hard Brutal 300 some thousand miles in...
I average 14.5 going back and forth to work. My best was going from CT to Ocean City MD and got 18.8 traffic was very light and no hills average spead was 70 mph. All depends on traffic for me. On my Gen1 I also get 16 to 17 on going to one of my MX tracks its some highway and mostly back roads...
