This has been something I considered a few months back and haven't seen many bring it up on here before. Let us know when you replace it if you notice any difference. Cheers.
Here is my 2013 SCAB that just hit 65k miles today. Completely stock.
Oil changes performed every 5000 miles since I bought it at 33k miles.
Price: $38,000
Repairs: replaced axles, tie rods, front pads and rotors, hubs and vacuum lines at 64k miles. Needed new axles because of torn boot. Vacuum...
Apparently you’re missing the point. This truck wasn’t designed to haul. It was designed to go fast as possible off-road.
What you’re doing is this: I bought a 2 seater sports car and this thing sucks because I can’t carry more than 1 person and 1 bag of groceries in the trunk. You sound like...
If anyone is curious, I used Laguna Woods auto to replace my axles and tie rods, vacuum hubs, vacuum lines, front pads and rotors. They charged me $2000 approximately. No more death wobble thanks to the new tie rods.
I told them I’m busy and would have to clear my schedule before I’d come in. I only had time yesterday to check out one truck so I decided to check out the super cab with the actuating rear window at CNC motors. Exterior is pretty clean. Couple of scratches on the doors, no big deal. Has leather...
Okay thank you for the info, I will keep that in mind. They weren’t budging much on the price and said we were “light years” away from my offer of 50k.
Then they called me the next day to ask me to come and look at it LoL.
the fixed rear window is kind of a deal breaker for me. Love that thing...
Debated going the gen2 route but it’s not worth it IMO. I’d rather have the piece of mind knowing the proper suspension is supporting my truck. No need to Frankenstein anything on the gen 1’s IMO. Either rebuild your stock shocks or buy new.
That seems like a good deal. Moonroof isn’t a big deal to me, I need the rear actuating window. That’s the deal breaker. I’ve found 2 nice lead foot 2019/2020 super cab raptors for under 58k, but the fixed rear window is killing me.
