No locker in 2wd is a disappointment.
My 13' FX4 had 2wd locker but it would unlock at 25 and then you had to drop below 20 for it to engage again. That was a bit annoying out drifting on the snowy roads but at least you had it.
I just got a picture from a customer of a white SCREW in a dealers inventory in the Philadelphia area. It was from the customer I have our first Raptor ordered for who lives in the Philly area.
I was referring more to mileage capability and not that Raptor buyers didn't want to pay to feed it.
Was more referring that if you drive it like a race truck it's going to eat fuel like a race truck.
Doing my daily routine I ran Visibilty on the trucks I'm waiting on. Our 10/14 Raptor build is still sitting showing in production and my 11/26 build is still not released from retrofit.
At least on a positive note a 17' F250 that I have sold that's been sitting on hold since early October got...
Ford is in a tough position when they do a new product launch like this. Situations like this happen regularly. We just went through a similar situation with the 17' Superduty launch. Ford relies on volume for profitability. They can't afford to hold all of those Raptors that are coming off...
Somebody gives you a truck like that and I'm sure they aren't paying for the fuel. I would imagine those 1,300 miles were driven like they running a rental car for youtube video fame.
We didn't show any commodity restrictions this week. Both of my last two orders have the bead lock wheels. When it's our turn for our next unit to get pulled if there are any restrictions I'll get a text or call from my rep. I'll try and keep an eye out on the commodity sheet each week to see...
Build date 11/26
Depends on which info source I look at or call:
Vehicle Visibility: waiting for transportation and transportation delay
My Ford Rep: awaiting retrofit
My daily vehicle run report : Storage ETA 11/14
Ford Performance: awaiting transportation
So uh yeah..... nobody really...
The dealership I work for has two Ford stores. Each store got allocation for 4 units. We sold all 8 of them at MSRP. Other dealers in our area ranged from MSRP to $20k over. Spend some time shopping and you'll find one for at least MSRP
The Ford regional sales reps usually won't meet with the customer. Sales end is different than the service end in that aspect. The best thing you can do to try and find a good dealer is ask around with other companies you deal with that buy a decent amount of vehicles. Find out where and how...
My dealership locator shows trucks on the ground at dealerships already. We have a feature through our Ford portal called Vincent. We run the vin # of the vehicle and the zip code of the end user and Vincent gives us all of the program details (rebates, special finance rates, private offers...
I ran the vin #'s for the first few Raptors and regular F150's that hit the ground with the gen 2 eco and 10 speed. Ford issues what is called a demo/delivery hold on any vehicle with an outstand FSA (field service action) that needs taken care of. Demo/Delivery hold means we can't demo or...
My rep told me it's held for retrofit. That's all she was told. Honestly the reps really don't have much more info available than what we have at the dealership level.
I called Ford Performance for the first time on Monday. I wanted to see if they had any additional info other than what I have here at the dealership. My truck shows awaiting transport under primary status and secondary status shows delay shipping. My Ford rep said my truck is being help for...
I wonder how much of the actual sound is exhaust VS the Sony exhaust.
All sounds great except for the transmission searching issue. I'm sure there well be a few updates that end up sorting that out.
I'm excited to see the avalanche in color.
