The install looks nice here, but any concerns about the gap where I can see white paint on both sides? Seems to me that would be an ideal trap for salt & brine?
In the installation post that you were replying to, I was a little curious how the husky liner didn't seem to cover the painted area at the bottom corners of the fender. I was looking at your photos, and it looks like your line-x person didn't coat that area either (the horizontal area at the...
Based on peoples comments about damage, I’m beginning to believe a lot of you don’t have a tech/dealer like I do. I don’t really fear any of this, but I will tell them any damage to my clear bra or ceramic and they are just paying to repair it.
There’s no alternative otherwise it appears. I tend to agree that it’s a bad set of headlights because we are all right around the same time.
If you don’t trust your dealer, find another one. You can’t be willing to deal with stuff just because you are afraid of someone working on your truck...
I honestly thought i was the only one. I have that exact same issue, and i"m due to go into the dealer in 10 days to get that headlight replaced, along with several other issues addressed.
Now i'm not so sure the new headlight they got is going to solve this....
Mine also only happens when...
I thought about this pretty long and hard, and decided to go with Line X on doing the fender wells. If I see degradation up there, then I'll probably put the liners up at a later time. Thanks!
I'm at about 300 miles on the truck now, and I would agree it does feel a little sluggish, but its been getting better. I think the trans is still trying to figure everything out, so every time I drive its getting smoother. Compared to my gen 1, its still an improvement on acceleration. So I...
What did you do when the line x was peeling off? Did you end up having to go there yearly to have it touched up? I thought their coating was supposed to work for life with minor maintenance? Or was it an installer problem? When you removed the huskys from your gen 2, what was the condition...
Absolutely I gotcha on that, going from a Gen 1 raptor to the Gen 3 Raptor, the aluminum was certainly a helpful feature up here in the rust belt.
My concern is more does the liner seal up everything in the area in a manner that is consistent with the line-x such that I do not have to worry...
For those of you that are getting these wheel well guards, how will these hold up against road salt? Living in the rust belt, I have a concern about the guard trapping salt behind it, eventually leading to corrosion. The alternative is having Line-X done, at about 4x the cost. I'm not opposed...
