My spousal unit borrowed my Raptor for over a week while out of town. Left the lights on entire time and drained the battery. I reset electronics (which had crapped out due to truck trying to cut off everything to get a cycle to start) by pulling the terminals off the battery and letting it...
Yes, truck is on and running. Heard others say the amber lights should be on for the Powerpoints...I believe manual said the same. Indicator lights on my Powerpoints are not on.
Manual also says outlets can't run refrigerators with compressors, but this thing is pulling 1.1A around 60watts.
Somewhere you can find online the benefits in graphs, charts, and such. I noticed an immediate difference when I switched to it when doing my last oil change. Truck ran smooth and quiet.
Truck was on when I plugged my fridge into both the front seat or rear seat AC 110 outlet to try. The DC outlet works, however. Any idea what gives with the inverter or how to get power through them? The fridge only takes up to 1.1A.

I, too, will throw a vote in for the inReach Mini. Had it for some years. I think pairing it to the cellphone actually gives you more options (and a bigger screen to look at). I don't spend as much time backcountry as I use to, but when I do it's often solo - running deep distances in the...
Oh yeah, you all good with that. That's nothing the truck can't handle. You should try some skinny mountain passes with big rocks in Montana sometime now that this level won't wreck your nerves anymore. LOL
I think it looks good for having load in the rear. I'd be happy with that. Looks fine for a few months out of the year; looks exactly how you want for the remaining months of the year.
I'm going to do a trip to Moab (hopefully) from Dallas in September. I'm shooting straight to CO from Dallas (10hrs), stay a day, then backroads/overland across to Moab on my timeline.
Oh, I do. I was making the point that perhaps the engine cutting off more than normal bc of the Auto Start/Stop is leading to cam phaser problems with our trucks...(?)
Sandy/desert type trails are not really the hallmark of the Black Hills. ;)
I too would suggest 44 on east side of the Black Hills, and all the way down to Hot Springs/Buffalo Gap. Will be open prairie and you may find more trails around Buffalo Gap and Hot Springs. In between that and Rapid...
This is bizarre.
I was just trying to get the lug nuts off this evening and found my wrench only fit on a very few of all the lugs on the truck. Lots of shearing and scrape marks already on them. Couldn't figure out why the wrench wouldn't fit and began to think the tire shop replaced them...
Coming back was easy in some places. Just floated on your back with your backpack as a headrest; let the river take you downstream. It was intense in some places. And other places were just tranquil.
