Shame as the display has more value than the sound for this half deaf old guy. Don't know why the hell main stream manufacturers have not jumped on that band wagon... then again, probably no way to compete with the Chinese "companies" with name brand "overhead".
I have zero intention of using the remote terminal for anything other than getting the doors open. However, for better or worse I did not install a fuse.
I removed it and the apparatus outright. Installed a pug for the key hole, and had already installed some Jimmi Jammers previously. Then installed a remote jump terminal in case the battery dies on me.
Window vents were worth their weight in gold in the places I park in Texas. You can leave the window slightly cracked and not worry about shit getting in yet the vehicle not being 10,000° all day. However, now with the raptor, I just leave the back glass cracked. Downside, rain, birds, whatever…
First, I don't have a business to sell anything.
Second, why do lay people believe that an OE ABS system applying and RELEASING brake pressure was ever intended much less is the most efficient way to stop a vehicle in a straight line? Again, ABS is for the lay person to maintain control, or be...
SO much wrong here... The key to stopping is threshold braking, NOT sliding and intermittently LOSING (intentionally releasing pressure) traction. ABS extends braking distance and was designed to maintain control while braking and maneuvering. NOT shortest possible braking distance. The greater...
You need to give Ferodo a try. My favorite street compound of all time is the DS2500 from them. Was absolutely fvckin nutz with the Evolution OE brembo calipers/rotors. 60-0 in 95 ft was hardly trying. Wish I could get DS2500 in the Raptor Alcon pad fitment... then again we were talking about a...
I think it was my Alcon thread that we touched on this subject but not sure. Proportioning has not been "set" on vehicles for a while. So front to rear proportioning will for the most part be sorted out real time. As for antilock. Again, something that is measured and cycled real time based on...
I know there are a few good former and current Ford employees on here who get "miffed" when I post "$tealership" and use other "derogatory" statements regarding said $TEAERSHIPS. But unfortunately its NOT squeaky wheel syndrome these days.
Swear to god I feel downright comfortable going in for...
Would be surprised how few vehicles are broken into in HEAVY foot traffic areas. Knock on wood, I'm more selective about how visible a parking spot is than how unlikely I'm to get a ding or scratch. Has served me well. Harder to steal something when people are trying to push you out of the way...
Welcome... my 2020 Raptor, after the sale, has cost me WAY more money than my 2019 twin engine Yamaha center console boat (both bought new). The boat sleeps year round suspended over the water in a marina. Yet still not the (welcome) $$$ drain on my wallet the truck is. Have not regretted a moment.
First I'm going to be "that guy"... SEARCH!!! As I've authored an informative Alcon thread myself amongst the MANY threads. Did that to help people since I was SEARCHING too. Second, make sure the threads pertain to your model year (that info MAY NOT be in a thread about your model year). As in...
Yep, paying a toll sux... Highest posted here is 75 unless you are on a toll then 85. However, Mexico is close to everywhere in Texas. How do you think we post all the videos without going to jail? :p
Make sure you have NOT stripped the clamp. NO ONE knows how or bothers to use a torque wrench anymore. They just over tighten the $HlT out of everything and wonder why it goes to $HlT. Clean the hoses... don't go crazy and use something silly like brake cleaner. Then spray some cheap hairspray...
