When just adding bass, we are not utilizing the ZEN. We are grabbing the factory subwoofer signal, and correcting it with the KEY technology in the amplifier for better performance. Everything in the truck will work like factory, feel like factory, but substantially better sounding and more...
Winner of our Giveaway!! Not sure if he is on here or not, but out of 656 entries, the winner is order #5395, Doug M. He purchased several items including a few of the 10x giveaway shirts, which ended up being the winning number. We want to thank everyone for their support and everyone who...
Hey, it's Don from Sounds Good Stereo!
We want to take a moment and thank everyone that supported us this year. We hope you and your family have a great/safe New Year this weekend. As many of you know and participated, our Plug & Play package Giveaway ends this weekend, when the ball drops. So...
Second best or tied with first but does require modification to the bottom cushion/metal is the single 10-inch vented by Focal. It has a little less output than the 4x6.5 but improves upon the sound quality. You can see the "bump" in this video at 1:24
In this truck (Crew Cab), the vented 4 x 6.5-inch is the best due to the efficiency boost we receive from the vent. We recommend 800-1200wrms on this setup and it will play every musical frequency, without effort...
Depends... Using rear-fill on that amplifier setup will degrade the performance of the entire system. We always want more power on the front mid-bass vs equal power across all speakers. Equal power = turning everything down to match the level of the most inefficient speaker, the front doors...
Once you experience them, it's really hard to enjoy others. For years, I ran the Focal Flax series, I loved them. For the $$$ it's really hard to find another speaker that puts a smile on your face like those. Not a Raptor, but here is my previous build/toy we built 10 years ago. This is now...
I doubt that would pair well, if I had to retain that location, I would utilize the factory driver with the DSP and see how you could narrow its bandwidth to see how it pairs with the 2-way. Worse case, you delete that location and dedicate that power to the mid-bass location.
If I had a VXI8...
That is pushing it! I believe your maximum depth is 3.25 inches without modifications. You would need to measure to be sure and you can double stack our adapters if you need more depth, but I would dig into it a little more before you commit.
At the current time, nothing really fits in the...
Yes, it includes the ZEN module for the B&O Trucks. We have not built out all of the descriptions, but hopefully in the next few weeks. The ZEN is mounted on the rear of the amplifier rack, which you cannot see from the one photo. More photos and details will be added over time, just busy with...

In this setup, we are using the Focal K2 Power KX3 3-way Component kit and in the rear the matching coaxial. These are a part of our Plug & Play system we offer and ship across North America. Pre-tuned by Sage, pre-mounted, and easy to install.
Here is a photo of the entire package:

It's part of a 3-way kit from Focal, but in the a-pillars, its a 3-inch + tweeter per side.
Here you go.. The ones I posted photos of are being shipped to a customer who purchased our Plug & Play system, but here is another set from a customer who shipped their truck to us, same setup, just...
This is a one-part video of a 2021 Ford F-150 and a 2020 Audi R8 we just completed for a complete custom stereo system upgrade. This video is an overview of the work we did to upgrade these vehicles along with the products we ship. From custom enclosures to custom A-Pillars, these vehicles have...
The biggest and only real improvement for the $$$ that you can do without a full upgrade is to install the block-off plates in the doors. These will improve your mid-bass, reduce road noise, and will not break the bank. As others said, speakers will be minimal by themselves. Here is a link to...
I understand most people know about this configuration in ForSCAN and most have an understanding of what it does.
But I believe there is one BIG misconception that you need to understand.
When you switch from "high-level" to "low-level" in ForSCAN, this is related to voltage, not input/output...
Here are a few rundowns of what the system should do:
Bubbles: Follow the Ping Pong ball and it should bounce at multiple places on the dash. You should hear the echo of the room as it bounces.
Crossing: Left to right 3d space and you want it to play beyond your mirrors.
Drum Solo: Impact...
Alot of people ask for music that we use/found/demo in the upgraded/DSP systems. Some of these are technical tracks and really can only be enjoyed on tuned systems (Active DSP, Home Audio 2-Channel, Headphones, etc)
So we put together a running playlist of songs on Apple Music for you. Hope you...
Here are some videos we put together of how we install our products and packages into the F-Series trucks. We have these posted on our website, but want to post them here in case anyone needs a reference when installing their system. The Non-Amplified video is coming soon.
Enjoy!
