Honestly a stock Raptor is more then capable for Snoball but it’s fun to mod so why not!
The number one thing is to have a good chase/dust light, a VHF radio, shovel and a recovery rope.
We run as a group so getting lost is almost impossible!
Have fun and enjoy the comradely of the group of...
I forgot the KHC Toque arm! The F&R springs and Toque arm make a huge difference in the mount of fun yo can have.
My Gen1 was a mild build like this one.
Things I’ve done since last year:
Icon springs option 3
RPG drop shackles
RPG bump kit
Eibach springs
Icon impact bumper/Skid plate
Baja 40” dual control light bar
Baja XL Laser A pillar lights
The 19 stock truck worked well last year but I needed the springs since I bring to much shit! So...
Never get stuck and never get out to help and the cold won’t be an issue!!
Actually I were Duluth trading fleece lined Duluthflex pants with light weight Smartwool long underwear they are water resistant. On top it’s also a light weight Smartwool and a med weight flannel shirt. I have a couple...
Rallycroos is fun for sure! The Raptor usually does not fit into any class very well and is uncompetitive. But you can have lots of fun. I did not do any rallycrosses my self but there was a guy in the Detroit reign that did and he was a crowd pleaser.
I know it’s on hold for now but call the...
Out west on a business trip and have a few hours today to waste. So I am visiting a few shops to spend money on my Raptor that has been sitting in the driveway for the better part of a month.
Snoball parts!
Electric leaf blowers work well. I have a 56v Worx model and it is awesome.
Stay away for gas blowers they can suck in the exhaust gases and if it’s a 2 stroke there are oil particles in there. Hell the small hand held gas blowers we have at work the exhaust faces forward!
There are a few pissing match pros in here that should STFU and go back to fortnite.
KO2s are good in the winter not great.
Nokian Hakka LT3 or LT2 (studded) are great.
Not everyone can legally run studs
I have run KO2s and Duratracs at many Snoball events and all over the country in winter...
Rally armor flaps on my Gen1 never ripped off once in 8 years with many off road runs year round around the Great Lakes.
Put them on the Gen2 and ran Snoball last winter and they survived.
I am saying that you can do just the TQ arm and most likely see a drastic difference in smooth traction on and off road. The TQ arm will benefit any type of driving and suspension set up. The Gen2 has a lot of torque and so the axle twists mostly because of the stock soft suspension. I...
Mine was tight but not that tight, it was what I call almost a press fit.
Report after some wash board and Accl runs on dirt. This is awesome no wheel hop in any mode or TCS setting.
Also mine seems to fit just right and no movement towards the piñon seal with the skid plate installed.
Yes I am. It is a 2019 I decided to run it as designed since there was not a real firm opinion if it is a casting difference of the Ford axle or if it is an issue with the KHC part. I am keeping an eye on it for now but when we got it installed it just did not seen as though mine was going to...
I installed the TQ arm and no wheel hop Dry or Wet pavement! Off road test in a few days. I will watch for the issues with the pinion seal, its close but it seems like there is now way the bracket could move to come in contact with it. The upper mount is in contact with the top of the Diff...
Installed the KHC TQ arm on my 19. It was not to bad of an install but drilling the holes for the front mount sucked. I had already gone option 3 on my Icon rear springs and they alone fixed all of the unsettled movement in the rear and about 95% wheel hop in the dry but in the wet is was maybe...
My 19 does it about once a month and I can't figure out the reason. Honestly I don't really notice their off since I don't drive in the dark much this time of year. One time I know it was me because I had some wiring done for some lights and we unplugged the battery which messed up some other...
I installed Icons set at option 3 this weekend and wow is it high without anything in the back almost 4"! If they sag a bit that would be great but I think a set of RPG drop shackles are needed. I went option 3 because about 6-10 times are year I have about 700lb to carry and on my Gen1 the...
