I just installed Deaver+3s and absolutely love them. I usually have 100-200lbs. in the bed but never tow. From what I understand Deavers are great for my application, but Icons are better if you're towing. Hit up @Rick@FreedomMotorsports for better info, I've enjoyed working with him on...
I've had Eibachs for ~3000 miles, they definitely make the Raptor a substantially better road truck. Everything feels tighter, less body roll, no brake dive. The Eibachs are certainly stiffer than stock, they weigh like double the stock spring. I aired down from 38 to 36 cold in the front which...
I would be stoked to see a set of these on an Oxford white truck. I have some venomrex VR-602s that I honestly love, but these are the only other wheels I would consider.
I wish I were smart enough to have measured the top light cutoff line before installing Eibachs and Deaver +3s. The final result was basically ending up with the same rake as stock, ~1" higher in the back. I guess that means I'm close-ish to the correct headlight adjustment as the night I picked...
Finally installed the SPC camber kit: https://www.spcalignment.com/index.php?option=com_spc&task=part_description&pid=86250
Got an alignment yesterday, now my steering wheel is dead straight. Definitely do the same to get that sucker dead centered again.
Question for you guys - Eibachs...
Good to know. Guess I'll just make sure to document my concerns with my service writer and make sure he records his statement that it won't cause issues down the road so I'm covered.
+3 standard, not hd. I have the OEM Ford trifold hard tonneau cover and a hitch-mounted bike rack on the truck all the time, probably ~100lbs. I would have opted for the HD spring if I were routinely carrying another 100lbs. or so, but I only do half a dozen or so times a year. I'll report back...
PC was a game changer for me. I'm too nervous to go the full tune route due to risks stated. The PC let's you fine tune the truck to the your personal pedal touch and makes the factory power easy to get to. IMO this truck has more than enough factory power to get you into dangerous situations...
Great question, thanks for starting this thread.
I am looking forward to others feedback. My Q1-built 2019 scab just started the dreaded cam phaser rattle three weeks ago. It's an annoying noise for sure, but I'll gladly ignore it if it won't cause any issues long-term.
Got the springs installed this morning. Pretty hard to overstate the immediate improvement. Axle wrap basically gone, back end doesn't try to go sideways when hitting bumps on a long corner on the freeway. Ultimately delivers what you would expect for spending $1000+ on the rear suspension...
Unfortunately I didn't do any official measurements before and after, but I definitely lost a bit of fuel economy. According to my trip odometer -.6 mpg or so.
2019 scab, ended up with +1/4" of height over the rear after things settled down. Installing my Deaver +3s to gain 1" in the rear over...
Agreed. My feeling is the stock pedal response is tuned around drivers without a soft touch. Not necessarily a bad thing, but the PC really let's you dial in the pedal sharpness to fit your preferred sensitivity. My first car was an 1988 944S that somehow my Dad let me buy. I quickly learned how...
Thanks for all the input guys, hopefully this thread is useful for those out there looking to install deavers.
One last thing I am thinking about are the eyelet bushings provided by Deaver. Do they get squeaky? Thinking of using some grease when installing.
Gearing up for my install. What are y'all using for metal coating? My experience with Deavers in the past is they end up looking a rusty mess after ~1 year. I'm sure it's mostly superficial, but figured this time around might as well hit them with a good few coats of something.
Amsoil MP HD...
Good news: Still have ford pass reward points so outside of buying my amsoil the oil change was free.
Bad news: I'm a lucky winner of failing cam phaser(s). I'm surprised as I thought since my truck was an early 2019 build it was sorted out. Dealer said they would need the truck for a week or...
This Kuat NV 2.0 base is decent. Kind of depends on what type of bikes you are transporting.
My previous rack was the Saris MTR which is similar to the 1up racks. Overall much more versatile, but heavier and bulkier.
