Did the fuse relocation yesterday.
Went well.
Last week I pulled fuse #27 and saw a little discoloring/brown along one leg.
When I removed it yesterday, it looked a lot worse than a few days earlier.
Still don't know if I will ever know 100% for sure what the trouble was with it not starting...
I was sitting in the driver's seat when I tried the remote instead of key in ignition.
It acted the same as when I turned key.
Cranked, engine spun, but no fire, no start.
That was when I got out opened the fused box and started wiggling fuses and relays.
Got back in, re-inserted key, turned...
I did try using the remote start after twice not starting with key.
It just cranked and no fire also.
Plans are to do the fuse relocation today or tomorrow.
After seeing the discoloring on the little fuse leg, I am guessing/hoping that was it.
Hasn't been an issue again yet.
We'll see soon.
Appreciate both of those.
I will shrink the cut wire and remove fuse #27.
Thanks for the tip on the key.
When it wouldn't start, it sure seemed like a security issue or something along those lines.
It would crank but not fire at all.
I would have expected at least a gasp or one or two fires...
Hoping to get the fuse relocated tonight or over the weekend.
I cracked open the fuse box a couple nights ago and have seen just about everything I need to do, I think.
Planning to use a low temp solder shrink connector rather than trying to get at it with a soldering iron.
I have a compact heat...

So I get this in my email today...
:)
Still not entirely sure if that is what scared me earlier, first start after playing and unhooking battery acted like earlier for split second.
BUT sure the fuse fix is needed.
Just opened fuse box and watched Youtube to see exactly what I need to do for the Fuse 27 fix.
Pulled the original #27, one leg discolored brownish.
Didn't see melted stuff, but imagine heat not rust or anything like that causing it.
Will get on this NOW
Was thinking I would use a REAL heavy...
Got it outta the driveway and hopefully back into daily duty.
Had an issue, posted question a minute ago, hopefully it will keep making me SMILE !!!
:)
Been thinking that I would get a bigger, badder, heavier duty-er fuse holder and leads, but...
as long as I have put it off, I plan on ordering a "kit" shortly
I'll check the terminals on the battery again just to be sure, But I do have a cleaner brush, cleaned those and cable ends and I coat with white lithium grease after.
Sorry, private property here on the lake, NO HOA worries:)
If the neighbors complain about anything, it just gets worse and...
